"A very nice place to spend the night while visiting Rio Lagartos and Loss Colorados. We got an ocean view and it was worth it. The room is comfortable and we slept well enough after the Saturday night celebrations stopped. It’s a bit tough for parking and the shower has little pressure, but the staff were super friendly and drinks and food was on point. All in all a nice stay. "

"Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was clean and tidy and our room was very large. The pool and garden are kept tidy and the boardwalk through the mangrove to the edge of the lagoon was great. Fabulous place to sit and watch the flamingos and other birds on the lagoon. "

"Check in took almost an hour, they couldn’t find the room key and put me in a crusty room. When I asked for the room to be cleaned, it wasn’t. No adequate utensils for cooking. The shower was cold, yes I let it run a long time. All my linens and towels were both stained and frayed. This was supposed to be my splurge luxury stay and it was awful. Staff never greeted us or asked how things were. They ate family meals right by the pool three times a day, ignoring me. It felt awkward like my staying at the hotel was an inconvenience to everyone. Made a fuss about me taking beach chairs to…the beach. Didn’t give me a menu for breakfast and ignored me when I was there at breakfast time. I only got breakfast once -yogurt and fruit because that’s what they offered without giving me the menu. Maybe it’s better during high season or better treatment if you’re not white. Extremely overpriced. "

"This hotel stands out as the best value I’ve seen after years of staying in mid to low range Mexican hotels. My room was the quietest I’ve had in Mexico, on the 2nd floor with a well furnished terrace looking out over the water. The room was bright and spotlessly clean. The two complaints I see the most of in reviews are: no hot water and uncomfortable pillows. NOT the case here! Super- comfortable bed and pillows, lots of hot water. A very nice continental breakfast with a thermos of coffee is brought to you on the terrace each morning by Sylvia or Roger, the very friendly management team. Roger arranged a boat tour for me with Ariel, an extremely knowledgeable licensed guide and naturalist; well worth doing."

"Room access was slightly difficult on top floor with rickety steep and narrow stairs. Some animal noises in the thatched roof at night. Parking was a little sketchy. Staff person was helpful but spoke no English at all."

Helpful, friendly and accommodating. Our pool and hot tub room made it hard for us to go home!!! Highly recommend. Will be back "
