I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown, and unfortunately, my experience was far from positive. Upon entering my room, I was immediately hit with a musty smell, which I soon discovered was due to mold and peeling plaster that adorned the walls. It was quite unsettling, and I was surprised that the hotel did not address these issues properly.
The hallways did not fare much better; they had an unpleasant odor, and I noticed dirty laundry left out in the open, which gave off a very unwelcoming vibe. While I must commend the hotel staff for their friendliness and willingness to assist, the state of the hotel itself was a significant letdown.
I decided to cut my stay short and move out on the second day because the mold was severely affecting my allergies. Although the location is great, being central and convenient, it just didn’t make up for the uncomfortable conditions I encountered. I believe that this hotel needs immediate renovations and attention to ensure the health and comfort of its guests. Overall, I would not recommend staying here, especially considering the price.
