To begin with, I want to acknowledge the positives. Check-in was quick and seamless, and the front desk staff were extremely welcoming, polite, and knowledgeable. The bartender working at the time of our arrival was also very friendly, which gave us a great first impression.
Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended.
We had two rooms on the 3rd floor, and during the two days we were there, the elevator remained noticeably filthy. The same trash and Cheerios sat on the floor of the elevator the entire time without being cleaned. The hallway carpets also looked heavily worn and appeared not to have been vacuumed in weeks, possibly even longer.
Inside the rooms, the condition was disappointing. Both rooms are clearly showing their age, and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I have photos showing several issues, including:
Hair left in the bathroom
Mold in the shower
A bathroom shelf coming loose from the wall
Damaged nightstand
Burnt-out light bulbs
Badly stained carpet under the couch and footstool
Fingerprints on the mirrors
Black fuzzies on the sheets
Overall, it seemed the rooms were not cleaned thoroughly before our arrival.
Additionally, the hot tub was shut down multiple times due to “foam” or other “chemical” problems, which was disappointing. On top of that, several staff members openly complained in front of guests, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional.
