"We spent our honeymoon here as we were married in San Miniato. The staff was wonderful especially Laura! There was a slight issue with our room, not only were they considerate, they upgraded our room and sent a gift to our room complimentary once hearing about our wedding. "We chose Pistoia as the base for a two-day visit to Florence. This plan worked great. Hosts Carlo and Lucia have a quirky compound located a short walk from the train station. We parked our rental car for the duration, and used the regional train service (frequent and cheap) to get to Florence. (Ask Carlo about his motorcycle collection.) While C & L don't speak English or French and we don't speak Italian, communication was no problem: beyond Google, they use the new generation of on-the-fly translation devices. Each morning, they laid on a nice spread for breakfast, so our mornings did not start hungry. Warm and personable couple, convenient location."

"Grand hotel Cappuggi did not disappoint. I stayed with my 3 children for 10 nights end of june , start of july. Very reasonably priced 4* hotel experience haf by all. A little out of town (2 miles) but free shuttle bus (or taxi if not available) shows excellent customer care. Receptionists very helpful, cleaners nice and cheerful. Fabulous swimming pool essential in 38° temperatures. Football and tennis available. Ball provided keeping my boys well entertained. Thiroughly recommend this hotel as a point from where to explore Tuscany and further afield. "
