Superb Stay

I loved the modern decor of the suite. The suite was clean and neat, the bed was super comfortable. The main bathroom was specious. The view of the pool was rejuvenating. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely call again.

Humble surprise for a vegan

As a vegan I normally bring my own food due to most BnB's not catering for vegans. To my surprise when I was asked what I was going to have, I told the friendly lady that I was ok because I was vegan, she quickly prepared a vegan meal for me!!! This place goes an extra mile for guests!!!

2nd great stay.

This was our second stay in a matter of weeks as we needed a low cost place to sleep in PZB. This time we were assigned the ‘Kingfisher’ room which is nice, but the ‘Sparrow’ was much nicer. The shower in Kingfisher was in need of renovation as the tiles were misaligned and the shower head was not the modern rain style which we experienced in Sparrow. During our stay unfortunately there was a major thunderstorm and all power in the area was out for 4 hours, but each room had a decent battery torch. The breakfast was lovely and we would always recommend this place as the pool is amazing.

Simply amazing!!

It’s hard to find words for such a grand location. From the moment we reached during our single night until the moment we left the service was outstanding. The room was spotless and the Wi-fi worked as promised. The pool was clean and the deck area had plenty of free chairs and free pool towels. If you do visit them, bring your drinks with you as they don’t have a bar but your room has a large bar fridge.

Overnight stay in PMB

I enjoyed my stay here - exceedingly friendly staff and an excellent breakfast, no noise when in the room so very peaceful. However one major critisism would be the fact that the hot water in the showers seem to be on a timer, and you completely lose any heat after about 4 minutes. This may be due to water shortages, but a warning would have been appreciated. That one factor probably means I will not be returning. Although it could be just because a good shower is very important to me.

Exceeded our Expectations

We arrived at Matt's Rest after several very hectic days of work for a place to rest before traveling back to our home. The B & B exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very clean, the beds exceptionally comfortable. The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The breakfast was very pleasing. Overall the B & B is in a quiet neighborhood with no distractions or noise. We will definitely consider staying here the next time we are in this part of South Africa.

Highly recommendable Matts Rest BB

We stayed over for two days. Matts Rest B&B really exceeded my expectations. More than value for money. We enjoyed good, healthy, superbly prepared breakfasts made from good quality products. Hospitality was excellent! We came away feeling that we had paid too little for our stay as the level of service and food was much better than what we had experienced at way more expensive establishments
