Fun Stay at a 600+ year old estate in the small country village of Lasow where the owner takes pride of this old treasure. Small Room, basic shower, but a nice sitting area outside the room with coffee and tea in china cups on a tea table. Bring your own shampoo and soap. 20 Minutes from exploring the treasured Medieval Old Town Gorlitz Germany to the south. About 40 minutes north through the long pine tree woods, we stumbled upon Stalag Luft 3, the original prisoner of war camp where the Great Escape occurred. Carefully watch for the small sign on the right just past the museum.

Mixed feelings

Very mixed feelings. We got the family room for 4 people, room nr 1. There was a lot of mold in the room... We couldn't believe the owner wanted to have people sleep in there. He mentioned he didn't know, but it wasn't from just a week ago... We complained and got 2 rooms. These we fine. Very basic furniture. Breakfast was OK, but the room was cold. There sure is still a lot of work to do to get it up to standard, but for 1 night it's OK. Just not in room nr 1!!!

Ein Zimmer ohne Heizung , abends nur kaltes Wasser. Kopfbrause eine Katastrophe. Die Nacht war sehr kalt aber ich habe Überlebt. Die kosten mit dem Frühstück 40,00 € . Das Frühstück 5 ,00 € und das Hotel 35,00€.

Übernachten im Schloss

Wer in einem Schloss übernachten möchte, ist dort bestens aufgehoben. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig. Der Hausherr spricht deutsch. Das Grundstück Lasow 61 befindet sich hinter der Tankstelle in zweiter Reihe zur Straße.

Katastrophe!

Das ganze ist eine Baustelle. Zufahrt zum Objekt hinter einer Tankstelle versteckt, man fährt durch ein altes Gittertor und ist in einem großen Innenhof, der sofort verrät das hier noch gebaut wird ( Baufahrzeuge, Gerüste usw.) . Es gibt kein Schild welches auf den Eingang hinweist. Hat man diesen dann Gefunden steht man in altertümlichen Gemäuern, dort stehen dann weitere Müllsäcke , welche auf die Baustelle hinweisen. Es ist nicht beheizt. Die Zimmer waren dann beheizt, dort sind die Fliesen teilweise nicht an der Wand, es riecht muffig, und staubig. Wäre es nicht so spät am Abend gewesen wäre ich sofort wieder abgereist. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen fand dann im Flur vor dem Zimmer statt (in der Kälte!!). Ich habe einen Schluck Tee genommen und bin sofort gefahren
