Une bonne surprise

Une bonne surprise pour une réservation estivale de passage, compte tenu des précédents avis, qui nous paraissent sévères. L’accueil s’est avéré très correct. Chambre immense, literie confortable en grande largeur, propreté, décoration simple avec du mobilier Ikea neuf, ascenseur, petit balcon sympa avec une vue (franchement symbolique) sur le lac d’Orta. Effectivement, il faut compter 12 minutes depuis le village d’Orta pour rejoindre l’hôtel par une route étroite et sinueuse mais pas vertigineuse ! Et pas de climatisation, juste un grand ventilateur au plafond qui s’est avéré amplement suffisant. Juste à prendre en compte en cas de journées caniculaires. Pas de petit déjeuner pour raison covid… (mais un restaurant qui semble attirer la clientèle, nous n’avons pas testé) A recommander pour qui cherche un petit prix dans une région chère

la reception non è presidiata, quindi non è stato possibile lasciare le valige dopo il check out alle 10 (a mio avviso un po' troppo presto). Siamo andati a fare colazione fuori perchè il bar dell'hotel non offriva la colazione causa covid e offriva 2 merendine e 2 bustine di caffè istantaneo come "sostituzione". La mattina nostra sorpresa il bar era aperto e c'era gente esterna all'hotel fare colazione. Il prezzo è vantaggiosa ma ci aspettavamo un po' più di accoglienza.

Camera carina ma molto fredda ( 16 gradi ), i termosifoni avevano la valvola chiusa e non ci è stato comunicato ma ho dovuto scoprirlo da solo, nella sola notte trascorsa ho dovuto uccidere 3 ragni, non era presente il telefono in camera e nessuna coperta supplementare. La titolare per niente gentile e poco disponibile. Non ci è stato possibile effettuare il check out già la sera in quanto la stampante non era in funzione e la mattina dopo, pur dovendo andare via prima, abbiamo dovuto aspettare le 8 per ritirare i nostri documenti ed eseguire il check out. Abbiamo saltato la colazione in quanto l'orario non ce lo permetteva e la titolare si è anche arrabbiata dicendoci che aveva preparato esclusivamente per noi... In effetti eravamo i soli in albergo quella mattina... Forse c'è un motivo!

Turned up on the day of the booking. Was advised on their website that someone was there from 1pm till 7pm each day. We got there a little after 2pm. The place was deserted. We rang the bell for CHECK IN as advised on a note on the front door. And waited as instructed in the note. Nothing. No one answered. We rang the first tel no. and could hear it in the restaurant, but no one answered. We rang several times, and then called the mobile number listed on their website - it was out of service. We wet on a ferry rider around Lake Orta and called them again around 4.30 - still no answer. I messaged via the Expedia link to the hotel asking them to respond asap as we needed a room and if we hadn't heard from them by 5.15pm we would have to start looking for alternative accommodation. Nothing still, so we called again at 5.20pm and no one answered and the call cuts off automatically and there is no option to leave a voice mail. So I had to message again and say we were going elsewhere and asking them to explain what had happened and NOT to charge us for a no-show as we had done everything in our power to access the accommodation as per the confirmed booking from months previously. Diabolical service and waste of holiday time driving up mountains to find them and there not even being a notice to say what time they might return, or an alternative no to call or someone else that could let us in, nor any kind of apology or explanation.

A two star hotel above Lake Orta

Room # 4 was clean, quiet if a little on the “seen better days” side. Accommodation near Lake Orta is expensive. The nightly rate charged by Madonna della Neve takes advantage of this fact. The free buffet breakfast was satisfactory (nice scrambled eggs/omelet). We ate in the restaurant one evening. The food was unremarkable, rustic. The hotels.com website describes the hotel as being 1 minute from Lake Orta in Pettanesco. This is incorrect. It is 10-15 minutes away from the lake up a narrow, winding road in the locality of Pratolungo, a commune of Pettanesco. There is no view of the lake; the rooms have a pleasant rural view. Wi-fi signal in our room was poor. We needed to be in the front office or restaurant to achieve a good connection.

Relax sulle alture del lago.

Dopo una meravigliosa giornata sul lago d'orta si va in collina e si arriva all'Hotel Ristorante Madonna della Neve.Buona posizione con vista sul lago e zona tranquilla e rilassante.Hotel con camere comode,balcone pratico e bagno da rivedere in alcuni particolari.Colazione completa,buona scelta dolce e salato e cappuccino del bar.Ottima cena nel ristorante dell'hotel, con piatti di qualita',buona scelta dal menu'e buon servizio.Personale gentile.Consigliato per relax e ristorante.

Personnel agréable

Accueil très agréable. Service de restaurant très agréable et convivial. Chambre avec balcon. Wi-fi impeccable. Attention, une église n'est pas loin et elle arrête de sonner à 0h30 pour reprendre le concert vers 7h !

Nicht zu empfehlen

Kein netter Empfang. Es wurde uns einfach der Schlüssel in die Hand gedrückt. Im Zimmer war es drückend heiss und der Deckenventilator hing so schief, dass man befürchten musste, dass er nächstens runterfällt. Das Hotel ist sehr hoch oben am Berg und nicht in Seenähe und gleich nebenan ist eine Glassammelstelle.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff.

Our planned stay was cut short unexpectedly and was very well handled by the staff. Rooms were clean and tidy if a little old fashioned. Service in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast was excellent and both meals were very satisfying. Customer service was excellent.

ver weg van alles

het hotel ligt hoog op een berg, alleen te bereiken via een steile smalle weg... verder weinig te den in de omgeving, tenzij je die weg weer terug wil gaan in het donker, now FORGET IT.....hotel/restaurant is gewoon gesloten tijdens 14.00 en 18.00 uur..je kan niet eens een kop koffie krijgen.......NIETS

Sehr, sehr schöne Unterkunft

Das Hotel ist ein kleines Stück oberhalb des Seeufers gelegen, aber in sehr ruhiger Lage. Nebenan ist ein kleiner Garten, von weitem hört man die Glocken der Kühe auf der Alm und alles ist angenehm ruhig. Das Zimmer ist geräumig und sehr sauber, hat Balkon sowie Bad mit Fenster. WiFi habe ich keine freies gefunden, aber auch nicht danach gefragt. Vodafone liegt 4G an. Insgesamt ein gemütliches Haus mit sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Inhabern. Das Highlight ist die Küche: Wir haben zweimal hier gegessen, lokale Küche mit fantastischem Geschmack zu fairen Preisen. Auch das sehr reichhaltige Frühstück mit verschiedenen Eiern, vier u.a. selbst gebackenen Kuchen, Wurst Obst und Schinken sowie unterschiedlichen Brötchen Saft und Cafe\Capucchino ist top und lässt keinerlei Wünsche offen. Da wir bei Abreise sehr früh los sind, gab es ungefragt für jeden einen Verpflegungsbeutel. Jederzeit gerne wieder!!!

Accueil agréable et sympathique,chambre propre et correcte avec une grande terrasse. Belle vue. Mauvaise insonorisation mais pour une nuit, c'est acceptable. Rapport qualité prix : prix un peu élevé par rapport à la chambre pour un confort minimal (payé le prix d'un 3 étoiles pour 2 étoiles)

Schönes kleines Hotel - abseits vom Trubel

Das Hotel liegt abseits der Hauptstraße im Berg. Man erreicht es aber leicht über eine 2km lange Kurvenstrecke. Das Auto kann in einer gegenüber liegenden Straße gut geparkt werden. Unser Zimmer war durch eine breite Glasfront mit Schiebetüren zum Balkon wunderbar hell. Hier konnte man abends noch gut draußen sitzen.Ein großes Restaurant mit Außenterrasse und gutem Speiseangebot rundete unseren dreitägigen Aufenthalt ab. Wir freuten uns nach Tagestouren abends zurückzukommen.
