Very beautiful hotel and location. Perfect to chill by the lake and pool and close to Orta township for a visit. Rooftop bar has a beautiful view and the restaurant is top very good. We definitely recommend the menu with the wine paring, amazing price-quality ratio!

We stayed in The Giardinetto for two nights at the end of July. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good if a bit chaotic due to the large number of guests being there at the same time. Staff were kept very busy keeping everything topped up, so no complaints from us. The setting is great and we recommend having a room with a lake view. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at Il Giardinetto. The hotel is beautiful and right on the lake. We had a room with a balcony and lake view and really enjoyed the beautiful view every day for our first cup of coffee. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. All the staff were charming and very helpful. We spent the night before at a hotel close to Milan airport, as we were arriving in the evening and worried about delays. Hotel Il Giardinetto arranged a car to come and pick us up the next morning and bring us to Lake Orta, which we very much appreciated. We took advantage of the pedal boat and kayak available to rent, and also enjoyed taking the ferry, which conveniently calls at the hotel jetty twice a day. The breakfast is very good here, but the restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner is superb. I highly recommend this hotel - we had such a peaceful and relaxing stay here and were sorry to leave

From the moment of our arrival, everything at this hotel was a luxurious, pleasant moment. Our room was spacious enough for three, with a beautiful little balcony with a table, chairs and umbrella onto the lake. Breakfast was delicious and our steak dinner was thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were wonderful, caring and helpful as well as professional and kind at all times. The options of ways that food was served were quite fun. We also enjoyed having access to some flotation devices to use in the lake and the options of hiring a kayak, in paddle board or paddle boat as well. We will definitely return! It's good to know though that the last boat leaves the dock close by at 4:00 p.m. If you want to go to the island and do the walk of silence.

Friendly staff, great food and wonderful details, such as kettle in the room, more than makes up for the slightly dated appearance. And there’s a public boat service running from the hotel jetty directly to the main square in Orta San Giulio - how convenient is that?
