The room was nice, parking is tight has a cosy pub attached but the food that we had was disappointing. I would say it was overpriced, should be £100 when compared to others in the area. Staff were great.
We stayed in the 'Nene@ room in what appears to be a newly built outbuilding in the grounds. the room had everything you would expect to a high standard
Absolutely beautiful location, amazing staff and a wonderful stay. Only wish we were staying longer. Couldn’t have been more helpful and the rooms were terrific.
Fantastic Hotel! Absolutely brilliant restaurant and well presented. I'd give the Crown Inn a 6 star rating!! Would highly recommend this place. What a find!! We'll done to the staff, kind, friendly and the food was sensational. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area. Top ratings!***** *
An excellent stay at this beautiful thatched hotel. The room was huge and the bathroom was even bigger, a lovely comfy super king-size bed. The breakfast was good and the service was great, the evening meal was lovely.
I would definitely stay again.
Friendly and helpful welcome- fabulous room- large and super comfortable. Very stylish. Great restaurant . We would love to come back.

The room we had - the Elton is tired and ready for a refurb. Electric showers are my pet peeve. The food was ok, far from amazing.
The building is beautiful outside and the garden is stunning.
Beautiful, spacious character room at picturesque inn in pretty village. Food was of a very high standard. One of the best meals I’ve had this year. Would definitely go back
Absolutely beautiful! The room was clean and comfortable. The best nights sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. The attention to detail is impeccable. There was even a projector and aircon in the room. The food was incredible and it’s located in a postcard setting. Highly recommend staying here.
The room was really special, Care has obviously been taken to design the experience and as the room was super, so we're the team in the pub. Well done. I will be back.
Amazing from start to finish. The pub is set in a gorgeous setting with each room decorated beautifully. We stayed in the Burghley room and had our own private courtyard which was wonderful. The room was large and spacious with a separate sofa and arm chair. Couldn’t fault the service in the bar when we had a couple of drinks either. Would highly recommend.
2 night stay for my wife visiting the area. Parking generally good but got packed during the evening due to the pub/ restaurant customers.
One point of note for solo female travellers is that the site isn't manned at night and the mobile phone signal in the area (on O2 anyway) was non existent.
Nice room. Nice breakfast.
Really lovely Place. Nicely decorated rooms. Big and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Staff very friendly. Evening meal at the inn was delicious.
A few minor issues.
Inside of toilet was dirty on arrival and bathroom bin not emptied. Bath water didn’t get v hot. But in general a lovely place.
Room was beautiful, really appreciated the fresh milk in the fridge for my coffee. Unfortunately that was much needed following a faulty fire alarm overnight which wasn't handled well with no real apology from the venue. Disappointing, but hopefully now resolved for future guests.
