Star Suites KLCC

10/10 Excellent

"Great location. We stayed on two separate occasions here, within a period of a week. They stored our luggage so we could do a side trip. We did have an issue with the 2nd room, the shower wasn't working and the lovely lady at the front desk moved us to a different room, with no issues at all. The pool/restaurant staff on level 69 are so professional. We loved both the pools. Great suites and very convenient to KLCC, with great views of the twin towers from the pool."

Aloft by Marriott Kuala Lumpur Sentral

10/10 Excellent

"I had a king room and it was a great big room, plenty of space and storage area for hanging clothes etc. Liggage rack is stored under the TV but you can place it where you want which was great as well. Big comfortable bed. Only thing that would improve the room would be to renew the toilet and shower area sealant and fittings they look tired now. Staff are all really helpful and pleasant. With the hotel being linked to KL Sentral makes it really easy to get to the airport, plenty eating and shopping in the NU Sentral shopping mall which is all part of the station. When you get to the station go up the escalators to NU Sentral and Ben's right to the hotel via the the link bridge. The bridge takes you to floor 1 so if going to reception you need to go down to G in the first set of of elevators, if going up to your room you can keep walking past the restaurant and its tables to the other set of elevators."

Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur

"I checked in to a Premier Selection suite which I also stayed in last year and had to request more hangers as usual. The room was spacious with a separate lounge room but occasionally there was a slight sour smell in the lounge room. Fortunately the hotel still has soap bars if you do not want to wash your face with liquid hand wash. This room has access to the Horizon Club where you can enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea and sundowners although I did not enjoy the wines on offer unlike my previous stays. The lounge staff and the hotel staff in general are very friendly and helpful and it is a short walk to the Bukit Nanas monorail station for exploring the city. The hotel still has a complimentary shuttle service to certain areas from Friday to Tuesday but the schedule has been reduced compared to my first stay many years ago. Most importantly the bed is comfortable and the room is soundproofed although I had interrupted sleeps every night. This is a hotel I will continue to use in the future."
