"The host is just so helpful and cheerful, the room is super clean and the attention of detail from the host makes the stay so much enjoyable. Unfortunely for me, my room was the one on the main road and I am a light sleeper, so sleep was not the best experience so agreed with host to reserve a room at the back of the Mas for my next stay. "Marielle and Loic were very kind and warm. It felt like I was staying at my favorite cousin’s house, and the home being a Chateau was the icing on the cake. Le Chateau de Lavaud is a gorgeous, serene castle with a generous landscape and spacing. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had a quaint, antiquated feel of Spanish / Moroccan design. "Used gps on phone easy to find . About 20min outside Bergerac. Host helpful and speaks some English but family email in English so no problem with communication . Modern wooden built house . We stayed in ground floor apartment . There were also more traditional options as well. Lots of modern art and excellent comfort bed . Would recommend.
