「The home is gorgeous and literally in the center of town. Easy to walk everywhere. Caroline arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the train station and we were met by Lucy who was wonderful. She sat us down with a map of the town. She circled and labeled things she felt we shouldn’t miss as well as places I told her we had things booked for. 「Réservez sans hésitation !! La maison est fabuleuse, les hôtes qui nous accueil sont d’une infinie gentillesse, tout est fait pour ce sentir chez soit, sans pour autant en faire trop, c’est super. 「The Chateau du Palanquey is an amazing property. There are only a handful of rooms and it is very secluded. The owners helped us out with wonderful local restaurant recommendations and a brilliant wine experience. I cannot recommend this property more highly. It was magnificent. 」

「Monique and Willem were perfect hosts at Les Rocailles and were very hospitable. We ate two evening meals there which were really fantastic! Gourmet level food, cooked by Willem, at a very reasonable cost. Our room was very clean and in a lovely setting in the grounds of the hotel. We would definitely recommend a stay there and also make sure to try Willem's food. 」

「Gorgeous gardens, clean and quiet rooms, owners the most delightful people on the planet. Better to have a car, trains don't stop often. But owners very graciously drove me several times to another station.」

「We had the 2 bedroom apartment and it was perfect for our family. All amenities well thought of. Place was walking distance into St Emillion. Eduard was available and communicative throughout the stay. The late checkout was a godsend for us too!」

「Christophe and Christine the property managers were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants and chateaus to visit. The breakfasts each morning were incredible: fresh baked croissants and bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs made to preference. The location nestled in among the vineyards was picturesque and very quiet. The total experience far exceeded our expectations and I hope we can make a return trip.」
