The Mallikarjuna temple at Pattadakkal was commissioned to be built by King Vikramaditya's younger wife Trailokamahadevi. It's dedicated to Lord Shiva and has ornate carvings from Ramayana, Mahabharata and other texts on its walls.

The staff was very courteous and helpful during the 3 night stay at the hotel. The room and property are good. However, on the first day and hour when I went to use the toilet, the seat when lifted, had stains of dry excrement from diarrhea that was overlooked prior to letting a guest in. I told ...
