Written by someone who has stayed at over 1,000 hotels: great surprise stay. Pellegeino, pillow mist spray, eye mask, robes and slippers, salt water taffy at your bedside, lots of fluffy towels. New bathrooms. Not like any other chain hotel. Very nice stay.

My car’s nav system had trouble finding the driveway - I finally used Google Earth to figure it out. Nice quiet place with but efficient rooms. First time I’ve ever been in a room that included a handheld steamer !

Very nice, clean and attentive staff. The towels were nice and fluffy. The breakfast didn’t have waffles, scrambled eggs or sausage. But it had meets and cheeses. The only complaint was a squeak. I didn’t bring it to their attention because my hearing is bad, just take out my hearing aids at night, and I couldn’t hear it. And I didn’t want to move rooms. I did bring it to their attention upon leaving, and I hope it’s fixed for the next guest.

The property was rated very highly and that's why we decided to stay there. The design of the building is unusual with curves in the external facade and curved walls in the larger internal spaces. This means that the rooms are not rectangular, at least the one we were in. This made the space less practical. The bathroom was very small with almost no space around the sink for our toiletries. But the worst part for us was that the air conditioning was not working. We checked in late and did not want to have maintenance come to the room to attempt a fix at that hour because we were tired. We also did not want to ask to change rooms at that hour because we had unpacked our suitcases and settled in. We stayed the night though uncomfortable and checked out early.

Nice, clean modern hotel. A step up from others in its price range (which was VERY reasonable for a Saturday night booking!) The whole hotel - rooms, common areas, etc, are clean with an upscale vibe. Staff is friendly & accommodating and plenty of parking on site. Two negatives to mention: 1. The room was on the warm side and adjusting the thermostat down (as instructed by staff) the room temp never got down below 74 or 75 degrees. Even though it was during a heat wave but that is not acceptable in a newer hotel that supposedly prioritizes guests/comfort - seems like there was an internal limit that would not allow a lower temp. 2. The whole "dogs/pets welcome" thing is concerning - not everyone is a pet lover and having to run into them in the elevators, lobby etc. was not enjoyable or pleasing. Plus having to think about whether you're sleeping on a bed/pillow where someone who considers their pet a person allowed them to sleep or lay on the pillow/bed (not to mention allergy issues that may result). So - would not stay here again because of those two issues - shame but they need to cater to guest comfort and PEOPLE...NOT animals.

To whom it may concern My wife and I had a very critical devastating experience involving the shower where is almost got burned. Thank the lord she didn’t suffer burns to her body. I spoke to the front desk to address the problem and the front desk associate was going to send some one to check & fix the problem but nothing was done. With all due respect because of this close call on my wife experience. We would like a total refund, this scary experience traumatize my wife for this getaway. Thank you for the vouchers that you gave us for breakfast. But we appreciate that you can consider our request of full refund. Looking forward in hearing from you or corporate office. Very elegant! The room had a wardrobe area that was very useful. Most rooms do not provide enough space for suitcases. As you enter the room there is a nook with a small dresser, wardrobe, and bench for your suitcase. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

We stopped here after an 8 hour drive before heading in to explore NYC. Very reasonably priced and an interesting little place with a mini library and lounge area on our floor. Made for a nice rest before the madness of the Big Apple

I would absolutely recommend this hotel. I was supposed to stay somewhere else but needed to be checked in asap and they were able to take me. I needed up canceling my other reservation and staying at the Hotel Troy for my trip. The extremely kind and attentive staff won me over immediately, followed by the multiple beautiful living/lounging areas they have for guests. I was won over before I even got to my room! I will 100% be booking with them for my next trip. My only regret is not getting every staff members name so I could put their names in here but every staff member that was working from July 15th- July 21st are an outstanding unit and have the BEST customer care.
