"I have traveled to Bhutan many times and have a tradition about staying in Paro my first night to hike to the Tigers Nest next day and then on to Thimphu. But, I booked an outdoor cabin and received a dark room in the main hotel. I have stayed at this hotel before booked through a local guide group and my room was fine - but this time I was most disappointed. "Good location. But when it rains, outside the hotel kind of stinks. Hotel itself, if very clean, rooms are spacious and have all required things. Beds are great, washrooms and bedrooms are super clean and have great attention to detail. Staff is fantastic. If you need something, it's just a call away and they respond right away. "We only stayed for one night, the lodge was newly renovated, very beautiful, but the facilities were incomplete. The room was cold and no hairdryer, but the manager told me that they were working on it. The manager from India was excellent, so was the staff. She woke up early to bid farewell and helped me with luggage, which I appreciated. "
