Das Hotel hat bei Abreise nochmals die Touristen Gebühr gefordert, obwohl ich die über Expedia schon bezahlt hatte. Beim Frühstück waren rohe Eier auf dem Büffet , der O Saft war alle und der Kühlschrank mit Wurst und Käse verschlossen ( wir mussten erst. Bescheid sagen. Ansonsten sehr gemütlich und das Personal war freundlich

The room was not ready on the indicated time so we had to wait until it was cleaned. And when they finally let us into the room you could see that cleaning lady had to rush, the toilet was dirty and the sink had hair. There's a little yard in the middle of the property that could use some TLC and attention.

Comfortable enough for a one night stay. The clip for the shower head did not function to hang it up, and there was a lot of dust up high. Bed, floor and bathroom were clean enough. The twin room may not work for anyone taller that 5 feet 8in. Staff was very warm and friendly.

Nos hemos alojado una noche en Castex, situación ideal, muy céntrica y comunicada con línea de metro a menos de 5 minutos andando. El alojamiento es tranquilo y con encanto. La habitación es amplia. Hemos estado muy a gusto. Repetiríamos.

Nice stay, hotel a bit tired. The main issue is the soap dispensing which are very hard to get any soap as the bottle was very hard to squeeze with one hand!!!

Good location less than 30 minutes walk from Gare de Lyon and by Place de la Bastille. Could not have breakfast due to early train but cosy and comfortable room and WiFi worked well.

Wonderful stay at the Hotel Castex. The staff members were very accommodating and friendly. There was delicious breakfast and coffee in the morning. The window view was lovely.

Greeted on arrival by a lovely man. He was completely happy explaining everything in English as my French isnt good. We had a complimentary bottle of wine. Room cleaned every day with fresh sheets and towels. Water pressure was amazing and hot. Brilliant location. Great value for money. Would definitely stay again.

Great little property. It’s an old building so space is limited, but the gentleman at the front desk was super friendly and seemed happy to see us everytime we came and went. The boiler heat took us a bit to find the right combination of heat and open window, but we’d stay there again in a heartbeat. Great neighborhood for metro, drinks and neighborhood bistros.

The staff is friendly and courteous. Breakfast is okay and they try to offer their best. However rooms are very small, tight spaces and smell old and muggy. I guess the old walls and heaters need some work. Maybe they need to open the windows and allow fresh air to flow. Bathroom is also very tiny.

Petite chambre, mais elle est toute équipée et a du cachet! Grande courtoisie du personnel! Une bouteille de vin m'attendait, pour compléter le charme de cet hôtel. Très près du métro et avec une épicerie bio tout près, j'étais comblée!

Chouette séjour
L'accueil est très sympa La chambre (301) n'est pas bien grande mais fonctionnelle. Je ne suis pas fan des baignoires, mais c'est personnel. Isolation phonique de la rue très bien (et la rue est calme) Seul regret : même en ayant essayé de couper le chauffage dans ma chambre, il faisait trop chaud pour moi.

Séjour janvier 2023 pour 2 adultes et 1 enfant
Hôtel correct dans un quartier calme à deux pas des lignes de métro, place de la bastille et rue de la verrerie. De nombreux restaurants sont à quelques pas offrant un certain nombre de choix. Tour effeil visible depuis le velux de la chambre. Calme le soir rue et hôtel. Personnel serviable, service de bagagerie gratuit. Petit déjeuné appréciable avec viennoiseries du matin, café ou possibilité de mange salé . Points négatifs : tarifs, ménage laissant à désirer car présence de toile d’araignée ou mini bar sale . Intérieur vieillissant qui aurait besoin d’un rafraîchissement ( peinture qui tombe au plafond) et refixer barrières des mezzanines. Il serait également bien de prévoir fruit frais au petit déjeuner , étoffer panel de choix du salé .

Very poor accommodation
I don’t like to bad mouth hotels as it is people’s livelihoods, however even by Paris stds the accommodation was very poor and in disrepair, cleanliness was questionable. Pastries and breakfast good, staff nice
