We had a great stay at Pousada Aconchego! We enjoyed the heated pool and the games room in the evening. The location is ideal for anyone looking to stay in the centre of Paraty. There are also great restaurants and bars near the hotel!

Great for solo travelers

I really liked this hotel. It had beautiful gardens and outside seating areas. The pool and pool bar were very relaxing. It was well situated in an active area so I felt very safe. Wish I would have stayed longer!

The property had a beautiful outlook and was nicely decorated with many plants and nice touches such as hammocks and rattan couches to relax in. The pool area was also nice and as you see in the pictures. The room was spacious but basic. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. It was conveniently located to the center of town and to the port where you take boat cruises to the islands.

Great location

The rooms are basic but clean and everything works fine. The common areas are nice. On colder days it was nice that the pool was heated but during warmer days it eawas a little too hot. The location is good and so is the breakfast. The hotel arranged transfer for us. We ended up paying 100 brl more than agreed because of af 100 brl charge for using credit card. It would have been nice to know in advance.

This was our highlight during our long trip to Brazil. This is he most beautiful place we stayed in Brazil, the way is has been decorated, every details has been thought of from the reception to the common areas to the room. Just beautiful. The gardens deserved a separate mention, I have never seen a place with such beautiful gardens, so well maintained. The pool area is great too. The staff is ok, at reception they are helpful and friendly at the pool. If they need to improve something, it is the breakfast experience. The breakfast area seems to be quite new so I guess it need more time to feel cosy; however, the staff at the breakfast are not friendly and the food is not amazing.

Love this place

The grounds are so beautiful. The location is great. Staying here made the visit to Party even better. Only surprise was the boring furniture in the room. But the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast exceeded any expectations. The pool is nice. I really loved this place.

Hotel was very nicely located, clean, and great value. The one thing to keep in mind is our room was on the ground floor and facing the street (not super busy) but you could hear some people coming home and having fun being a bit loud. It wasn't terrible and didn't bother us but something to keep in mind. I highly recommend staying here if you are going to Paraty!

Beautifully kept property-nice amenities,clean, safe and steps from historical center. Loved the view from my room. Cleaning, breakfast and pool staff excellent. I would have given them a five star only downside was the front desk staff-one staff young lady was nice -the other two didn’t want to be bothered and were not welcoming. I was told the young man spoke English, but he was the least helpful-only on his cell. Front desk needs help -to be welcoming to Pousada guests. Minus front desk staff excellent. Paraty is beautiful and the Pousada is lovely.

This is a nice little hostel and looks much better in person. My friend and I were only here for a night. The room was a bit small, but the bed was comfortable and shower had hot water. The hostel has a nice pool and bar and some seating/hammocks around, though we didn't get to use it because of our short stay. Paraty is quite walkable so the hotel is in a good location with restaurants nearby. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend it to those staying in Paraty.

The Pousada was excellent on all accounts, esp. staff and breakfast and on the edge of old town was perfect location a top priority for older guests. Loved it.
