"Although the booking is advertised as Hotel Punta Leona, it is actually for Apartamentos Arrecifes rather than a room in the main hotel. This should be made clearer, as the apartments are farther away and require transportation, an important detail for families with young children or elderly travelers or anyone requiring a wheelchair. We also experienced a 40-minute delay at check-in because the room was not ready (partially compensated with a late check-out). Upon arrival, the apartment did not appear thoroughly cleaned, beach towels were missing, and the room phone was not working. Additionally, check-in takes place at the main hotel, about a 5-minute drive away on a poorly maintained road. The apartment includes a kitchen but lacks basic cookware. Air conditioning is limited to the bedrooms, while the living area only has ceiling fans. On the positive side, there is a supermarket within a short 2-minute walk."

"Terrible customer service. Have to stand in line for three hours every morning if you want to make a reservation at the Restaurants. Drinks are limited and very watered down! Have to stand in line to get a beer! Our honey package was 12oz of champagne and 4 strawberries. It’s too bad this place is managed so poorly because it’s a beautiful area! "

"Fabulous place, beach and sun. National Park (refuge faunique national Curú) is so nice, see the beach. Breakfast and diner are very good. The best place during our travel across costa rica."
