Located in Palmer, Hyland Hotel is in the city center. Colony House Museum and Alaska Live Steamers are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Matanuska Glacier State Recreation Site and Matanuska Lakes State Recreation Area. The property is a historic hotel updated with modern amenities in a very charming way. I was a bit worried about the lack of onsite staff, but they have their systems dialed. Service was great and the location in downtown Palmer was fantastic. Can’t wait to stay again.

This is a gem of a hotel. Stunning remodel, tasteful decoration, prompt customer service, and a very modern approach to being a hotel. I give this five out of five stars, would only stay here when in Palmer and would highly recommend this to my friends, family, and everyone else. This place an oasis of peace and historic beauty.
