This hotel and its staff deserve nothing less than a 10/10! The location of this hotel is what sets it apart from most - perfectly situated on the beachfront with the whitest sand and clearest water I have ever seen. The A La Carte dining throughout the day has an exceptional amount of choice and all taste healthy, fresh, and amazing, all whilst being locally sourced. Staff in the hotel could not be more helpful and attentive, especially when dining. Shout out in particular to Med, Rishi and Kenny who made our stay very welcoming. Overall, it is an incredibly good value for money stay for what you get in the hotel and on the doorstep. Things to improve: - Restaurant definitely needs some sort of air conditioning for during the day as it gets very warm and uncomfortable the further inside you are. The sea breeze helps when sat closer to the outside. - Not much else

The food is excellent, the staff is very welcoming and helpful. Our room( Bang on the beach) had a wonderful view onto the beach. You could walk far in both directions from the hotel. The water is clear and clean. The sand is soft. It was a wonderful experience !

I was not inconvenienced by booking 2 separate reservations and I did not need to move. I am VIP at Expedia. So one reservation, I didn’t get a room upgrade. One reservation, I did get a room upgrade. Best of all worlds would have been to Received all room upgrades plus No need to move from the best room. So that would have meant a 2 step upgrade on the second reservation. Also, it was not highlighted that I would receive a 20% discount on spa services. All staff should have known this and should have promoted this saving. Would have been good for the resort and good for me.

Most attentive staff Rachit whom I watched cleared tables and dishes every time he walked by any table versus others that did the one thing they were on route to do. Love all inclusive when it’s a la carte and not a buffet. Even better when there is Michelin chef training experience. Favourite lunch dish was pineapple gazpacho. Favourite dinner dish was Josper oven toasted corn ribs. When you book events through the hotel, it cost more than if you booked directly with the tour operators. How much more appreciative would the guests be if all the tours were cheaper if the hotel did the booking. Then staying at this hotel would be even more attractive. Love the guy cleaning our glasses every day on the beach.

We had an unforgettable stay at the Salt of Palmar Hotel in Mauritius. From start to finish, absolutely everything was perfect. The food was simply 10 out of 10 – varied, fresh, flavorful, and every meal was a real highlight. Truly top, top, top! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would especially like to mention Dev who supported us in so many ways. He gave us great tips, was always willing to help, and was exceptionally kind. Thanks to him, we discovered wonderful experiences that made our holiday even more special. The hotel itself is beautiful: peaceful, well maintained, and with a lovely atmosphere. The beach is absolutely stunning – clean, calm, and perfect for relaxing. We also loved that we could use the kayaks for free. The snorkeling was fantastic as well – a definite highlight! Had the stay not been for our honeymoon, we would have found the hotel excellent. Room was lovely and the staff were all friendly. Food quality was excellent too. Be sure to do the snorkelling if you stay. Regrettably though, many of the advertised honeymoon benefits were not offered or received. We did get the ‘Aperol sunset’ drinks but had to ask to receive this. We also had an issue with an experience we booked in that they had not checked it could actually go ahead before taking payment. On the day we thought it was happening it was cancelled which meant we had to re plan our day. Had to remind regarding the refund of this on check out.

Perfect location for a relaxed holiday by the Indian ocean. This boutique hotel is small but beautifully appointed, with great facilities. The Bang On The Beach room offered incredible views across the bay out to the reefs. We were lulled to sleep every night by the waves and woken up every morning by the sunrise over the sea. Perfection. And that easterly sea breeze meant no mosquitos too, which is very welcome for a tropical location! The food and service were all impeccable. Special mention to Heeroo who was very attentive and looked after us every day with exemplary service on the beach or by the pool. Tek Tek was fantastic, Dev and Ravi put on a great night with exceptional food. Although we were on the All Inclusive package we were glad we spent a little extra for that, well worth the price (which is very reasonable coming from the UK/Europe). Overall the food was fantastic. Lots of options to choose from on the All Inclusive package and plenty of others if you fancy splashing out a bit more. We were lucky to be there for Salt's 7th anniversary and were treated to a unique special menu. We'll definitely be back to Mauritius and will almost certainly stay at Salt of Palmar again.

The hotel itself is clean, and the common areas are well maintained. One thing to keep in mind is that the location is quite remote — it’s not walkable to any nearby attractions or shops, so transportation is necessary to get around. Overall, it’s a nice property

I couldn’t fault the Salt of Palmar Hotel. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent quality and cooked to order. I would recommend the all inclusive option as not so many other options nearby. Very good coffee also. The location is on the East coast, so a bit windier. We took a few snorkelling trips on the hotel’s boat, which was amazing. We stayed 2 weeks and took some days out to tour the island, lots of trips/tours available. The room looked directly out onto the Ocean with waves breaking on the reef. Quiet surroundings and very safe environment. Would 100 % recommend

Lost count of how many times we’ve stayed at Salt of Palmar on our visits to Mauritius now. Perfect adult only boutique hotel with beautiful beachfront. The staff and service are just brilliant. The Salt of Palmer can be a decent hotel with a few changes. The overall feeling is warm and inviting. The biggest areas of improvement include the attentiveness of staff, the smell of the rooms, and the dining options. The staff will not attend to you unless you specifically ask them. An example would be sitting in the dining area for 30 minutes as they all walk past and do not ask to take your order. If you are sensitive to smells, you must know that the rooms smell like mildew. Given that the hotel is on the beach, I expected there to be some sort of smell, but the smell was a bit overwhelming for me. The menu is rather limited and for certain hours of the day (2 pm-7 pm) you are only able to order from approximately three appetizers.
