「Gorgeous hostel with activities for guest, but the crowd is fairly young. I had a private room, which was spacious and clean. So far only place in Peru where I’ve had consistent hot water and good pressure, so I’m satisfied with my stay.」

「Very friendly hostel, it is a very nice old house. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. It is close to the magical waters park, you can reach it on foot. Safe zone」

「Deliciously warm shower (I think: the only one in South America)! Freshly painted rooms, good beds, clean & well-appointed. For some reason, a street FULL of superb little Peruvian seafood restaurants. What's not to love?」

「The pictures used on Expedia for the rooms represent the room in its "tidiest state", but when you actually are in one of the rooms, the interior is in much worse shape (walls/beddding). The bathroom section has a toilet that barely has room for legs because a wall is in the way. At night mosquitoes can come in and so do cockroaches. While I am not scared of either, the mosquitoes are definitely annoying. While if you have command of Spanish, you can talk with the receptionist but if you don't...
