Very close to the different parks in the area, and the town was very walkable if chosen to do so. 10 min walk into the town, 15-20 min drive to singing sands or the grotto. Also close to food spots if you're hungry for a meal. Jim and Robin were great hosts, breakfast every morning was fresh with fruits and a sandwich/burrito. They provided wonderful recommendations that did not disappoint, and they were knowledgeable about the area. Rooms were clean, nice hot shower, and a mini fridge to store anything you brought. Overall, great experience and some of the kindest people around. Would definitely recommend and come back again!

We were greeted by our host as soon as we arrived. Robin and her husband gave us a warm welcome and introduced us to our room that back to a enchanted forest. The deck was so welcoming to relax contemplate or just read a book. The room was rustic decor but yet very cozy. Every morning we were invited to the outdoor kitchen and enjoyed a warm breakfast prepare Robin and Jim (I hope I got your name right) and hot coffee! Thank you both for a wonderful stay!

What a wonderful stay! The accommodation was absolutely excellent — just a short walk to town. The rooms were beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was beyond delicious — truly the perfect start to each day

We enjoyed our stay. The owners Jim and Robin were nice. The breakfast provided was good. We were not pleased that we couldn’t smoke outside our room as they have bears around at night. We had to go to the road area where our car was. They should perhaps put this on their listing of the property. Also it was over priced for what we got.

Never saw a bear

We loved it! Stayed in the loft upstairs and it was lovely. Huge bed, great open space and the private deck overlooking the parks/woods was wonderful. Breakfast was able to be ‘to go’ so warmed breakfast sandwiches and burrito types. Perf loCation - easy and safe to walk on the road. I also used the provided bike and biked around a bit too. Two taco places across the street. Loved the views and both Robin and Jim were incredibly personable!

The property and the host were great, the only downside was the internet connection which kept fluctuating and disconnecting, wasn't a big problem just at night but it may be something they should improve for future guest since we were rained in for 1 night.

Location was walkable to local attractions and restaurants. This is important because there is very little parking in the core area.

Great getaway. Very secluded and peaceful. We stayed in the upstairs king room and it was beautiful. We enjoyed a quite wonderful breakfast on our private balcony each morning. The location is excellent for walking into town for dining and shopping. Tobermory is definitely a beautiful Canadian vacation spot.

L`endroit était pratique pour visiter la région dont la Grotto. Nous avons aimé les attentions du propriétaire avec la bouteille de vin et les grignotines. Nous sommes allé les 22 et 23 septembre 2024, il faisait un peu froid le matin et nous aurions apprécié une table et chaise pour déjeuner à l'intérieur de notre chambre. Les photos qui montrent l'eau dans l'annonce devraient être retirées puisqu'on ne voit rien, ça induit en erreur. Nous sommes en plein bois.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Inn. Jim and Robin were exceptional hosts and provide some nice touches, such as, a bottle of wine, real wine glasses, snacks, great coffee and breakfast in the morning. We felt very comfortable. We enjoyed our own private patio, easy walking distance to shopping and dining. Will definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Mermaid Inn. The owners are wonderful and very welcoming people. The room was cute and cozy and unique. We enjoyed having breakfast on the beautiful deck surrounded by nature and forest. Very peaceful place. It is 5 minute walk from the main strip and easily walkable. We loved our stay at Mermaid Inn and hope to come back again next year. Anna and Elena
