Meaford is a tiny town, and Meaford Inn is about the only 'hotel/motel' in town. It's at the end of the main street of shops and just before a really nice beach (though rocky). Everything is a walkable distance. The Inn is clean enough for an overnight stay, and the restaurant was nice. Overall it was an ok experience, but there were a few things worth mentioning for future travellers. When we brought it to staff attention that the AC wasn't pumping air, we had to insist that she change the filter (which was the obvious problem) and she huffed off, not looking at or talking to us again. We overlooked a few things too... the curtain on the window wasn't connected at the top all the way to the end and it was easy to see inside at night if we hadn't played with it to get it to cover; the bathroom had mold growing on the ceiling and had no extractor vent, we were given half a roll of toilet paper and no extra roll; flies kept getting into the room (because the large garbage outside was very close) and although the room has a permanent bug zapper, we had flies buzzing around us all night. We were grateful to get a ground floor room to accommodate a walker-user, but the room was still up 1 step and
