「Everything was fantastic, 10 out of 10. The Shalet was spotless, it had a lovely wood fire and an electric heater. The rooms were all done in wood panelling, there was kitchen and laundry facilities and the spa bath was a lovely extra touch. Despite the rainy weather, we were very cosy and warm.」

「We read the reviews and were intrigued. We stayed in winter, and it is cold in Bothwell. It would have been much more inviting if the hosts had the heater running prior to our arrival, but once the property warmed up after a few minutes the shock of how cold it was faded away. We stayed in the 1837 cottage. The accommodation is rustic, eclectically furnished and decorated, and gives an appreciation of life in times gone by. If you are after elegant, refined and well finished accommodation...

「This was a great stay between Strahan and Hobart and close to the Mt Field National Park, where we did Russell and Horseshoe falls. The accomodation was clean and very comfortable. It was great to look over the fields where the alpacas lived to the mountains. The accommodation had everything we needed to be comfortable and we were instructed on what was available food wise before we came, as there are not many options once you get to Maydena. Highly recommend this place to stay.」

「This lovely clean home was a great base for exploring Mount Field National Park and also the Maydena Bike park is next door. Great as a family/ group stay. Everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. As a couple we just closed off the other 3 rooms and it felt cosy. Very warm with lots of heating options. ( Electric heaters in every room, air conditioner and log wood fire?) Great washer and dryer for cleaning muddy hiking gear. Lovely timber kitchen table. Friendly and helpful...
