Great ferry stopover

Very helpful reception staff. 5 min drive to ferry terminal And plenty of parking. Ordered pizzas for evening meal which were delicious. Small selection of beer/wine available with food as well as vending machine for coffee and snacks.

Super comfy beds and great black out curtains-we slept amazingly! The check in process was very clever and there was even somewhere to store our bicycles. Thank you.

A good stop

The room was fine though it would have been nice to have had a kettle with teas and coffees. The breakfast was generous. The area is pleasant enough. It is a traveller's hotel but is as best as you can expect.

My stay was clean and comfortable staff was very friendly enjoyed it. Small criticism bed was hard and cooked breakfast was poor no meat on continental selection but for price couldn’t really complain.

Great stopover

Got there really late so couldn’t see if there was a view. Check in was all on the automatic check in which was easy and quick. Room was comfortable and clean (would have liked a second pillow).

This is a hugely convenient hotel if you're just getting off a ferry in Caen! The hotel is only a couple of minutes' drive away and is easy to find. We checked in late after reception is closed, but there was an automatic check-in machine that worked well. The room was basic but clean and functional, breakfast had everything we wanted. Recommend!

The hotel is of excellent quality and the offer of an evening snack is very welcome. Breakfast is extensive. Check in on the machine in the lobby is not always reliable.

Convenient for the ferry

Good clean hotel, easy to find and park. Check in easy if no one one reception with a code. My only negative thing was no English channels or subtitles in English available. Good wifi. Handy for the ferry.

Good hotel base for D Day visiting

Basic but pleasant hotel . V clean room , excellent wifi . Lovely view across the field towards the river. 2 negatives - 1) little space for clothes ( most were left in our case )&2) the bright light from the air con unit kept waking us. Lovely staff , Good breakfast , though staff could be reluntant to refill at times - always had to ask - think this was due to how many rooms they still were waiting to come in for breakfast

No frills but all we needed.

Thanks to the booking team for listening to my request for a top floor, river facing room. It was simple, quiet and comfortable, no frills but all we needed for a night's stay before catching the early ferry. We went to one of their recommended local restaurants and had a great meal. No breakfast till 7.30 at weekends, but the coffee machine made an excellent cappuccino to see us on our way. Will definitely use again. And next time will manage the check in instructions better...thanks to the man at the other end of the intercom for his help..!

Served its purpose, but basic with no bar!

Booked the hotel to spend a week commemorating the D Day 80th anniversary. The hotel is well located for sword beach and plenty of nice enough bars and restaurants with a short walk. Lots of other reports about migrants, there are plenty and they’re based in the woods opposite the hotel, they’re quiet and peaceful and didn’t pose a threat. They did however check car doors to see if unlocked but to be honest, that happens in England with general riff raff anyway! I would probably choose to stay closer to gold or Omaha beach next time but if you’re on a budget then this place is fine and perfectly adequate

Did what it said it would. This is more a budget hotel than anything else so felt a little over priced. Checking in late at the machine was confusing. People before us didn’t see the option to view the entry pin on the screen and they didn’t receive an e-mail with the pin so we saw quite a lot of people, with families, go to there rooms then have to come back and work out how to get the pin. That said, rooms clean, beds relatively comfortable, rooms spacious and the shower worked. Breakfast was ok.

Very handy for an overnight stay after disembarking the afternoon ferry. Clean, large comfortable bed, much better than the pictures. Quiet with view over parking below. Need to bring toiletries etc. Breakfast could be had, at a price, in cafe on ground floor. Only problem was getting in when tired. Machine said we needed to pay but thought we had done so back in UK so had to explain it all to man on phone intercom who answered only after long wait. Seems it was just a holding reservation and real payment is made at the property. Should have read the reservation details properly! Will definitely use this hotel again.

Basic

Room was very basic. Breakfast wasn't available as we were leaving for the 8am ferry and breakfast didn't start until 7.30am. No tea & coffee facilities in the room, and the coffee machine in reception took our money but didn't give us any coffee. Staff only on site a few hours a day, so there was no one to help us or refund our money. Only 1 pillow per bed and no one available to ask for more.
