「Hotel Steenhuyse was a very nice place for me to stay on my cycling trip to Flanders. Bart was a great host. He even sat and had a nice chat with me at breakfast. My room was very large, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of meats, breads, pastries, and cereals. As a cycling fan from the U.S., I couldn't recommend a hotel more than this one. It is a few steps away from the Tour of Flanders museum, and a short ride from the famous climbs of the Ronde. 「My family booked a premium room at a wellness spa. This is not what we experienced.
Access to the room was via a narrow staircase into the loft. No hand rails. Narrow steps. Basic health and safety issue.
The room felt like a half converted loft. Curtains simply hid what was basically an area of junk.
The bunk bed for the kids has a large spike just above it. If a child where to sit up quickly i they would put a hole in their head.
The one loft window in the room is low down and...
