This property was like no other. Exquisite in every detail. It was made with impeccable taste. The art on the walls, the linens, the stairway, the outside grounds… Every detail. beautiful property with easy car access to Orvieto

Beautiful property outside of Orvieto with gorgeous views. Easy access to hiking trails and biking trails. Amazing stay. Wonderful helpful staff. A good choice if you don’t want to stay in Orvieto but want to visit Orvieto and do car trips to other hill town cities including Todi, Bagnoreggio. Also can hike to Rocca Riposena and Sugano directly from the property.

The perfect country escape

Truly exceeded all expectations. 11 out of 10. Every single person at the property was kind and generous. Highly recommend Cheg Luigi’s cooking for dinner on property. Cristiana the owner was sweet, Claudia and tiziana were lovely and helpful. We will be back soon

My dream place!!

This is the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen!! I literally cried. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. Dinner and wine were incredible with 5 star service. Never wanted to leave!! Claudia is amazing!! She deserves more money!! The level of hospitality was unmatched. I managed hotels for 10 years and I was impressed!! If you ever get the opportunity to stay here, you should! I can’t recommend Locanda Palazzone enough!!

We spent 5 lovely nights at Locanda Palazzone and the property is even more beautiful than the pictures show. There is 360 degrees of stunning landscape. The staff is very warm, kind and accommodating and made our holiday even more special. With only 7 guest rooms there is a lot of personal service. Special thanks to Titziana and Claudia. This is a very peaceful place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. Although it was just my husband and I, they are very welcoming to families and the pool is a nice treat for the children. The location is a short 9 minute drive to the old town of Orvieto and well located to explore all the surrounding sights of Umbria and other regions. They serve a lovely, elegant dinner on the terrace or inside their beautiful space when you choose not to go out. This is a very unique and special property with understated elegance. I hope we have the opportunity to visit again.

Beautiful hotel located in the middle of the Umbrian vineyards. The hotel has had modern upgrades which contrast well with the rustic traditional building. The town of Orvieto is about a ten minute drive away but would recommend a car! I was initially surprised that this was only a three star hotel but will say the quality of the dinner service and wait staff let them down. My mom and I had tried a wine a day earlier and the next day none of the staff knew which wine this was. Considering they only serve their own wines here it was surprising no one knew the tasting notes or colours of the wines!

Wonderful property located about 4 miles from central Orvieto. Room and view were spectacular. Had a private dinner in the main room and the food was excellent. Everything in this 13th century building has been modernized but it still retains it's medieval flavor.
