Chateau d’Ortaffa

The hotel is for those who wish to explore the area and of the local population than a mere tourist destination. The building is full of character. Our hosts were very friendly and very welcoming. It was enjoyable.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Host was so kind and helpful. Location and chateau was amazing. The room was nicely decorated and furnished. It was very roomy with a private full bathroom.

A lovely, well appointed and maintained medieval castle. The room was in a Picasso theme, very tastefull done and very spacious. The hosts were warm, welcoming, helpful and friendly. The breakfast, served on the terrace in superb surroundings, was excellent.

We had an absolutely tremendous stay at Chateau d'Ortafa! Our hosts were friendly, very accommodating and gave good advice about places to visit. We stayed in the Picasso suite which was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The chateau itself is very beautiful and our highlight was eating breakfast on the terrace with fresh croissants and home made yoghurt. The location is rural but there are many coastal towns and places to visit about 15-25 minutes by car, so would recommend to hire one for your trip! The chateau was just what we were hoping for! Perfect! Thank you!

A treasured experience.

It was an amazing experience. The host, Alain and Michelle were wonderful. The breakfast they served were delicious. I loved the fresh squeezed orange juice. The place was a treasure.

Excellent Bed and Breakfast

Delightful bed & breakfast set in a village well located for visits to both the coast and the mountains. Stayed in the lovely Picasso room, very comfortable and quiet. The house is built around the remnants of an old chateau and is full of art and antiques. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area giving us recommendations of places to visit and eat. Had breakfast on the balcony with views towards the mountains. Highly recommended. Thank you Michelle and Alain for making our stay very enjoyable.

Great place run by amazing hosts

Amazing B&B in a chateau, the breakfast was great, has private parking, and is run by the most friendly and helpful hosts who were always there to give us advice and tips on things to do, places to visit, and roads to take. Would greatly recommend and would stay there again.

Chateau D'ortaffa is absolutely incredible in every way. The building itself is beautiful and incredibly thoughtfully decorated and furnished - just what you'd want from a place in the South of France. The owners are wonderful - kind, friendly, and welcoming. They make a point of making you feel like home (in the info pack they say you are part of the family during your stay). They'll ask about your plans and give great tips on places to visit (whether an amazing bakery in the village your headed to, or somewhere to stop off if you have a long drive). Delicious breakfast is served on the beautiful terrace when the weather is good, which is also a perfect place to spend an evening with a bottle of wine. I cannot fault this place - my husband and I were in heaven from the moment we arrived and were incredibly reluctant to leave.

El alojamiento es una enorme casa en la que conviven con armonía la arquitectura antigua con una decoración clásica y elementos de modernidad, así como multitud de adornos "artesanales", que le dan originalidad a la casa. Los propietarios, Alain y Michelle, son una pareja extermadamente amable y atenta. Los desayunos en la terraza son una experiencia maravillosa, con productos de primera calidad. LA mayor pega reside en que el establecimiento es un B&B, y no hay en el pueblo ningún restaurante, tan sólo una pequeña pizzería de barrio, buena, pero con muy poca variedad. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y cómodas, aunque carecen de aire acondicionado y en verano sólo con el ventilador puede llegar a pasarse calor.

Un enchantement

Un enchantement, de l'arrivée au départ, avec un gros pincement au coeur quand on quitte les lieux et qu'on se dit qu'il faut y retourner. Pour la beauté de l'endroit, le raffinement, la vraie gentillesse d'Alain et de Thérèse.. pour imprimer en vous un merveilleux sentiment de bien-être. Ils ont l'art de reçevoir. Ne passez pas à côté de cet endroit d'exception.
