I loved the Sherman Inn!! Jim and Donna were so friendly and I loved the history throughout. Truly a unique and wonderful experience. The breakfast was delicious, the beds comfortable, the rooms were huge and you couldn’t ask for better company. I will stay again when in Ogdensburg.

Unique property and a comfortable stay. We enjoyed an optional history tour of this former school building before settling in to our huge room. The bedding was amazingly soft, as were the towels, with excellent housekeeping each day. Breakfast was customized for our needs and was wonderful, fresh and homemade. The communal kitchen was nice for making my french press coffee early in the morning. There is a library as well as a lot of reading material in the Theodore Roosevelt room we stayed in. The surrounding town is lovely. There is a nice park and playground by the St. Lawrence river where you can look over at Canada. We found places for dinner both nights. Everything is just a few blocks from the hotel and we felt totally safe there. We would definitely return if we come back to the area.

Everything was just perfect. The rooms are huge, and the breakfasts are hot and delicious. Jim and Donna go the extra mile to ensure my stay was comfortable and relaxing. Sherman Inn is by far the best place to stay when visiting Ogdensburg, NY. Lots of history in this old Elementary School.

Wonderful atmosphere, very ornate and lots of historic information. The decor was over the top, Christmas everywhere, even a decorated tree in our room. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Nice to have a full kitchen at our disposal. All the amenities we could ever need. Owners were welcoming and made the visit special.

The most unique B&B we’ve ever stayed at. It is a former elementary school. Common areas were charming. Our room was HUGE and we loved it. Cozy sitting area with fully decorated Christmas tree. The bed was so comfortable. Lovely robes in bathroom. Owners Jim and Donna were so welcoming. You can tell they take great pride in the property. We had an awesome breakfast in main dining room and Jim gave us a tour and history lesson on the building and area. Highly recommend. Would stay again! Jen and Steve
