All good. Pleasant and polite service. Room was clean and spacious. Nothing wow but that was not expected anyway.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
The area is beautiful and there is a good parking area.
The room was clean but the door and the window needed more maintenance as well as the property.
Staff needs to be better trained in both service and language.
They were kind but lacking in service skills.
Very nice accommodation and pub/restaurant.
Pleasant staff, easy check in, rooms nice and spacious.
Very quiet location in a picturesque village, sampled both pubs.
Lovely breakfast
Room was nice and clean. Quiet too. Bed not overly comfy but fine. No one around to check us in and not equipped for early check out.
Restaurant was 5*. Quality and service was fantastic

Great value comfortable stay
Lovely old pub with an accommodation block at the rear. Further investment would return this place to it's obvious former glory, but for the price we paid we were pleasantly surprised with the quality we received and would absolutely stay again. Interesting plumbing, seemingly hot water from both taps (?!?) only added to the fun. Lovely service, brilliant Indian food, great location. The village is well worth a stroll around. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
Excellent stay. Lovely big room. Comfortable bed. Really quiet at night. Breakfast good both days, dinner was excellent. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again
Clean with polite staff, only let down on minor points. TV reception very poor. Cold tap in bathroom often ran hot. Could have done with a comfortable chair in the room.
Very polite and helpful staff. Room a decent size and clean. Was not able to eat in the restaurant due to a gas failure but reputation is good. Very enjoyable stay.
Lovely dog friendly pub, restaurant & accomodation
We stayed two nights at The Marquess of Exeter on our way home from the west country. The room was lovely, very comfortable and clean. We ate there both evenings and the food was excellent. Lyddington is a very pretty little village, we enjoyed walking with our dog around by the church and in the countryside. We requested a downstairs room which had the advantage of doors into the gardens, this was very helpful to take our dog outside. The gardens do need tidying up but I expect they will do that as the weather gets warmer and customers want to sit outside.
Would definitely stay there again.

Fair hotel for a couple of nights on business. Communal areas a bit tired and need a deep clean. Room fine, reasonable amenities and comfortable bed.
Staff in the hotel were really great. The food in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous. We went off the Indian menu. Hotel was very warm and cosy thing that needed sorting out with the bathrooms were in need of an update.

Reasonable.
Friendly front of house, but not the friendliest in the restaurant, I guess they were busy that night. Menu is Indian food with a handful of pub grub additions, but nothing particularly healthy. The rooms are nice, with good amenities.

The place was lovely and the Indian restaurant associated with it truly delicious. Staff were courteous and attentive. However, our bed was super hard and uncomfortable, and neither of us got a wink of sleep. But honestly, that was the only downside to an otherwise lovely stay.
