Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique du début à la fin, l'équipe sur place est merveilleuse, la location idéale, le petit déjeuner mieux qu'a la maison avec des viennoiseries sorties du four..11/10 ! Disappointing Experience!!!!

We really wanted to like this place as it's a nice building and scenic location although far from the center of town, however, their service and attitude left much to be desired. From the manager to the staff, the service is superficial as they don't address concerns timely and they'll shake their head or indicate it's no problem and then do absolutely nothing about it. We always request a quiet room and specify our vegan diet. We were assigned a room with a broken A/C and the staff were well aware that it was making loud noises. We had to insist that we could not try and sleep in that room for a second night so they allowed us to move just before bedtime. They also did nothing to accommodate our diet like every other hotel in Myanmar and had the most minimal options. The internet was so slow that I couldn't upload 1 photo for the almost 48 hours we were there nor wish our family and friends Happy Holidays on Christmas Day. There were excuses for all of the above when the manager was confronted. He pretended he was acting on our behalf but actually didn't follow through at all. This was such a disappointing stay given that we splurged on this hotel. We are away 42 - 70 nights every year and this was our 2nd worst experience over the past 10 years. There are better choices to spend your money with more attentive service. They have 2 good bikes - the others are dangerously unfit for the potholed dark roads leading into town so be aware. Disappointing stay!!!

-Il manque un tapis de bain pour la sortie de douche -les cintres sont insuffisants en nombre et pas assez robustes (se tordent sous le poids des vêtements : vestes, pantalons) -A l'ouverture du petit-déjeuner à 6H, la moitié des plats n'était pas prêt et il a fallu plus de 20 minutes pour que le buffet complet soit dressé. Gênant en cas de départ matinal (observation lac Inlé au lever du soleil ou départ matinal pour l'aéroport de Hého)

Hôtel charmant en bord de canal

Super séjour au bord du lac, l'hôtel est tenu par des Français et se trouve sur le canal qui mène au lac. Le personnel est aux petits soins et très compétent, ils se sont occupés de modifier nos billets d'avion, de réserver une balade sur le lac en bateau. L'hôtel est au calme, à 15 min à pied des restaurants du centre ville et des vélos sont à disposition gratuitement. Le petit déjeuner est très bon avec crêpes et pain frais. Les chambres sont en retrait du canal donc très calmes.

Lots of lovely touches

We arrived very early and they allowed us to check in. Room was spacious and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. French couple run the restaurant and the food was excellent. Nice art and other touches around the property and the rooftop terrace and bar were perfect to relax in.

Stilvolles Hotel mit tropischem Garten

Sehr geschmackvoll und originell eingerichtet und liebevoll gepflegt. Umfangreiche DVD Videothek mit grossem Projektor auf der Dachterrase/Bar mi toller Aussicht. Das Jetty Restaurant mit einer stilvollen Bar hat einen eigenen Landungssteg wo ständig was läut, Leben pur! und man serviert hervorragendes Essen.

Stile europeo con bellezza birmana.

Sono stato tre notti in questo hotel. Situato a Nyaung Shwe, vicino al lago Inle. È un ottimo abbinamento di buon gusto europeo con un contesto birmano. Sia il proprietario che il manager sono francesi, molto attenti e gentili nei confronti delle necessità degli ospiti. L’hotel è molto ben disegnato e arredato, con ottimo gusto e stile. Il personale è ottimo, gentilissimo e molto presente. Le stanze molto carine e comode. Ottima la pulizia. Molto buona anche la colazione. Abbiamo fatto gite in barca al lago Inle, organizzate dallo stesso hotel, con partenza dal suo imbarcadero. Consiglio sicuramente questo hotel.

You feel so welcome

The owner, manager are both coming from France are so freindly. Also the staf were great. You feel so very welkome in thuis hotel. You can speak in English and get all the information you need to see the place.

Hôtel très bien décoré

Hôtel joliment décoré,chambre très spacieuse,propre et très au calme. Un peu loin du centre ville et les locations de vélos sur place sont 3 fois plus chères qu'au centre ville. Vu le standard et le tarif de l'hôtel, une piscine serait appréciée. On y retrouve la zenitude de la ballade en pirogue sur le lac d'Inle.

Joli nom que celui de Thanaka ...au bord du canal!

Excellent séjour dans ce bel hôtel , excellent accueil et conseils de Paul et Tamara qui gèrent en duo cet endroit sur le canal ...Une mention spéciale pour le roof trés bien amménagé...Bonne table ...et même d'excellentes rillettes:)

Quiet and comfortable room

We had a very nice stay here. Staff was very helpful. They helped us rent a boat for a day in Inle lake. The room was spacious and the breakfast was really nice. I would recommend this place and the restaurant

Nice hotel

Really nice hotel. A little bit expensive for what you get, especially given there aren't many facilities in the hotel, but liked it anyway. Staff were really friendly and helpful. They spray the whole hotel and rooms with mosquito spray, which was a really nice touch. Room was really nice and as per the pictures. OK breakfast. About a 10-15 minute walk to the main town centre in Inle.

Peaceful setting

The first room we were put into had the strongest smell of sewage that permeated the whole room, it was room 103 on the ground floor. With this being ground level, you could not open the curtains as everyone walking by could look straight into your room so no privacy at all. We could also not open the windows to let any air in, as soon as we did this the room was full of mosquitoes as there were no flyscreens. We put up with this for 1 night hoping to he smell would get better but it didn't so we changed to a room upstairs which had no bad smell and we could open the curtains to let some light in- much better. The towels, linen and curtains are all in a very aged condition and could do with updating and some artwork on the bare white walls would not go astray for a bit of a nicer atmosphere, they'd feel a bit cell like. The beds and pillows as with almost everywhere else in Myanmar are like concrete, so uncomfortable! This hotel advertises itself as 4 star but I think 2-3 is more appropriate. On the plus sides, the staff were very helpful, professional and friendly. The hotel has direct access to the lake and a nice restaurant with lake views and is a short 5 minute walk to the town centre. There are good quality mountain bikes available to use but if you don't get them first thing in the morning, they will all be gone, very popular! I think with a bit of an update to the rooms this has the potential to be the 4 star property it claim to be.

Conveniently located for day/half day boot tours

Pleasant stay at real boutique Hotel. They really are looking after details when they built this Hotel. Very friendly and professional staff at the reception with fairly good English. Definitely an improvement is required for the breakfast service. Not enough staff and fairly unorganized forgetting most of the breakfast orders. Also breakfast was not buffet style and therefore the choices rather limited.

Nice hotel in Nyaung Shwe

We reached at 6am via the midnight bus and was able to check in. Hotel staff are friendly and always willing to help. Short walk to reach the bridge that connects to the main area of Nyaung Shwe. Able to book boat tour to Inle (they have their own jetty) and rent bicycle to cycle around the town itself. I will love the hotel and will definitely consider the hotel if I visit Nyaung Shwe/Inle again.

Well situated Hotel on the Inle Lake channel

few great days at Inle Lake over a long weekend. The hotel was comfortable and the staff was pleasant. The hotel is well situated with nice jetty to which you can pick up boats for daily excursion to he Lake. The little down fall is the access to the hotel, main road not finish and you must walk through gravel and dark roads at night, off the main street but hotel will provide you with torches. Did get the feeling obliviously that they were not over warmed that we were not staying at their hotel for diners. Breakfast is nice but the portions are ridiculously small and need keep asking staff for additional butter etc.. but over all a very nice pace to stay.

A charming hotel with a wonderful team of staff

I spent two nights at this hotel during my stay in Inle lake. Considering the scale of the lake, I am glad to stay in Nyaungshwe rather than a resort by the lake, thereby obviating the need for an additional hour to get to the Heho airport (from Heho airport to Nyaungshwe is 45 minutes and from Nyaungshwe to the lake is another 45 to 60 minutes). Another reason I choose to stay here is the overall high ratings of this hotel and I believe it has a lot to do with its staff. All staff (from driver to reception to housekeeping and restaurant staff) are extremely pleasant, helpful and attentive that make you feel welcome. The room is very clean and comfortable. The design is very tasteful and the hotel has put so much details into it. Although my first night had experienced many occasions of power shut down but I think this problem is not under the hotel's control.
