Zanzibar star resort is one of the most amazing place we stayed in zanzibar Island 🏝. We spent 2 nights and we had a great time from the service to the friendly staff Team. The one thing we liked the most is the delicious breakfast, it was great so many good food and fruits. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed and the whole place was surrounded by a beautiful garden and the pool at the very front of our room. The beach was about 5 minutes walk and it was great with so many activities to do and in the evening, there were people performing their cultural dance randomly at the beach which i loved watching.

Not worth the money ... although lovely staffs

100 usd per night doesn't provide internet and cable TV in the room as promised .. TV does exist but not the channels ... 5 mins walk from the beach which is great but a little unsafe feeling while coming back in pitch dark after dinner, as dinner not served in the hotel. the hotel arranges cheap snorkeling tour to mnemba islands, a must do ....

Cet hôtel est bien situé, pas loin de la plage, bien qu'un long chemin très poussiéreux nous en sépare je n'ai pas trouver cela dérangeant. L'hôtel est joli et dispose de 2 piscines et d'un espace assez grand à l'accueil où il est agréable de se poser, si l'on fait abstraction des nombreuses mouches, c'est aussi le seul endroit où on capte la wifi. Cependant, le jour de notre arrivée on m'annonce que l'on ne retrouve pas ma réservation expédia, je leur montre donc mon mail de confirmation, je vais même jusqu'à leur montrer que mon compte en banque a été débité. Rien à faire, c'était à nous de trouver une solution pour leur prouver que nous avions réservé au sein de l'hôtel. Pendant plus de 2 heures nous avons attendu à l'accueil, tandis que le gérant "était allé voir les établissements alentours pour nous trouver un autre hôtel", lorsqu'il est revenu, il s'est excusé de ne pas avoir pas assez bien chercher notre réservation car finalement il la retrouvé mais pas au nom de la plateforme d'Expedia. Lors de notre longue attente je me rend d'ailleurs compte que nous ne sommes pas les premiers à qui cela est arrivé. "Heureusement" pour nous, nous avons fini par avoir une chambre assez jolie (malgré le fait que l'hôte était soi disant complet). Enfin, mis à part pour le petit dej' qui est très bon, je vous déconseille de manger dans le restaurant, mon mari et moi avons été malade toute la nuit !!

Great hotel, with beautiful surroundings. We stayed at the hotel for three nights during New Year eve. Staff was helpful and did the most of our stay. New Years Eve celebration was perfect. Good food, excellent service. The beach surroundings was beautiful. Rent a scooter at the beach and drive miles and miles at the beach.

Nothing as there was no room available. The manager Kelvin left us waiting 3 hours without informing us that there was no room! Another couple from journey had the same experience. He said his extension rooms would be finished in 2 days! We went to see them! No electricity No water! Water pipes, bare electricity wires & cement everywhere! No where near completion!!! He ended taking us to the Amaan Hotel at 4pm! (Our flight was 9:05) so we missed the whole 1st day of holiday! There were only 2 nights we could stay as they were also fully booked!! This hotel room had no working shower & the surrounds outside were dirty & unfinished near our room! I was upset after our other Expedia holiday experience in July so this as well caused a lot of stress!!! I tried all evening to get hold of Expedia & one person said she would call me back but never did. It took all day!! Expedia are inconsistent & unhelpful for the second time this year on holiday! Toilet in reception area had no door to the toilet no sink to wash hands & was very very dirty

Worst hotel on Zanzibar for the price they charge

A scam , a building site , false advertising, pictures on your website did not match the property , not on the beach , on a busy dirt road , breakfast full of flies and cheap instant on a coffee island , we left after one night and will put in a claim , we got a sea facing on the beach room for the same price room broken door ‚ bathroom needs , 1 sheet no blanket , one bedside reading light , will send pictures with my mail as soon as I get home and submit my claim

Ok men inte mer.

Vi stannade på detta hotellet 3 nätter. Frukosten började vid 8.00 men var inte framdukade för än 35-40 minuter senare. Poolen var inte bra skött, men öppen att använda. Mycket grumligt vatten... Rummen var trevliga och rena. Saknade dock ett kylskåp på rummet.

К сожалению , отель не понравился. Это вообще не пляжный отель, несмотря на то что он находится в 300 метрах от пляжа. Эти 300 метров самый главный негатив. Это дорога по которой ездят автомобили, гонят коров и ходят люди. Дорога вся в страшных колдобинах, куча мусора по обочинам, пластиковые бутылки, отходы.Практически каждый местный житель не упускает возможность назойливо что- либо предложить туристу, и никак не отходит от тебя. В отеле на завтраке было нереальное количество мух, такого мы нигде не видели, Неужели нельзя что-то сделать?еда быстро заканчивалась, хоть в отеле всего 14 комнат. Заканчивалась даже вода для кофе-чая и приходилось долго ждать пока вода не закипит заново. Чашки и тарелки плохо отмытые. Когда мы приехали в отели, нас поселили в стандартный номер, хотя у нас был забронирован Deluxe. Это бунгало, кондиционер там не работал и от жары и духоты муж не спал всю ночь. На следующий день переселили в Deluxe в основное зданиена втором этаже. Номер неплохой, но бочок в туалете был сломан( потом вызвали сантехника и починили), вентилятор не работал вообще ( кондиционер работал хорошо) , тклевизор не работал. За 8 дней 3 раза отключали электричесво ненадолго, раза 3 полностью выключали воду в принципе тоже ненадолго. Часто не было горячей воды.В комнате было очень много мелких муравьев, но в тропических странах такое бывает часто. Вид из всех номеров основного здания на стройку( отель строит второй коpпус, периодически стучат).Персонал не улыбается,

L hotel dista dalla spiaggia sia e no 500 metri il resort dispone di una piscina modesta e il personale e simpatico e gentile.il boss calvin è molto gentile ed e a disposizione per qualunque cosa. L unica pecca è che se vuoi mangiare a pranzo o a cena dvi prenotare perché nn offrono servizio di ristorazione..e io wi fi prende solo in reception..per il resto tutto ok..

PÉSSIMA EXPERIÊNCIA!!!!

Chegamos nesse hotel e simplesmente NÃO HAVIA ACOMODAÇÕES PARA NÓS que já havíamos pago por nossa nossa estadia. O gerente queria nos colocar num outro Hotel perto que tinha uma diária DE VALOR MENOR DO QUE A QUE JÁ HAVÍAMOS PAGO e com muitos comentários desfavoráveis. Depois de aguardarmos MAIS DE 3 HORAS POR UMA SOLUÇÃO e perdermos A MANHÃ INTEIRA, o gerente nos levou a um outro hotel perto também mas só havia disponibilidade para uma noite, que não achamos ser verdade pois a diária era equivalente a que já havíamos pago por nossa estadia. Ficamos uma noite e no dia seguinte contratamos um passeio de barco que demorou até de tarde. Quando chegamos ao Zanzibar Star Resort NO FINAL DA TARDE do dia seguinte, nos deram um quarto com vazamento no banheiro e cheio de mosquitos. Pedimos um café da manhã em caixa pois já havíamos contratado um transfer para o aeroporto na manhã seguinte e íamos sair muito cedo e nos deram 2 ovos cozidos e 2 pedaços pequenos de fruta. FOI TUDO PÉSSIMO!!!

Il primo giorno di prenotazione, arrivati alla struttura, l'albergatore ci comunica che c'è stato un errore nella condivisuone delle prenotazioni con expedia e loro ricollocandoci per una notte in una struttura vicina indecente. Non lasciate nulla in camera le donne delle pulizie portano via tutto (un anello e un paio di boxer sottratti). Escursioni: Il gestore della struttura dice di non fidarsi dei beach boys ma diffidate da lui offre i medesimi servizi ad un prezzo doppio (compreso il taxi per l'aeroporto). Wifi presente ad intermittenza solo nella hall. Uniche note positive: colazione e vicinanza alla spiaggia (3 minuti a piedi).

Great hotel

We had a great stay in Nungwi. The staff was very kind and helpful with everything. Breakfast was great, the room was nice and clean just like the pictures and the location was good, close to the beach :)
