I got invited to take pictures at a very special Day of the Dead ceremony in 3 Reyes—a small Mayan community in the state of Yucatan. To witness this side of my own country, relatively unknown to the most of us, is such a beautiful feeling!
Hanal Pixan stands for "The Feast of Souls"; and you can clearly appreciate that fact in every altar around 3 Reyes.

Amazing rooms. Beautiful hotel. Amazing cocktails and food… truly amazing service…. but… No coffee in your room or alcohol in the minibar so maybe bring your own. Maybe we should have called for room service. It is so close to the ruins and right on the lake. Lovely walks around the city. Definitely ...
