Interesting.

Interesting old chateau, a little tired in places but worth a visit. Restaurant was closed on the day but there are options in La Souterraine which is not far away.

Very cozy hotel with wonderful surroundings. Ideal for a calm and relaxing stay in the French countryside. The pool was very nice and the room was big and comfortable. It was very clean even though we found a spider in our room. The restaurant of the hotel is closed someways during the week but the staff was prompt in presenting alternatives. Breakfast did not have much variety.

Terrible, realmente sucio

El hotel está MUY sucio y viejo. Los muebles viejísimos, el baño es de motel malo, la cortina de la habitación no cerraba y dejaba entrar toda la luz de la mañana porque las contraventanas no llegan a cubrir toda la ventana, la moqueta da asco pisarla, sucia con manchas, las sábanas dan poca confianza viendo el estado de la habitación, además de que me encontré pelos en mi almohada. Las zonas compartidas igual: la moqueta estaba totalmente sucia en cualquier zona que miraras, con restos de comida, pelos y manchas, incluso dentro del ascensor. El desayuno es el peor que he tomado en mi vida. La piscina es terrible, tiene algo verde en el bordillo que no invita a entrar, sombrillas de publicidad de Frigo... Es bonito el jardín y la fachada, pero nada más. No subestimes la falta de limpieza, es realmente asqueroso, lo leí en algunos comentarios y pensé que serían exageraciones con lo bonito que parece... me arrepentí.

Hébergement à éviter Nous sommes arrivés dans une chambre dont la climatisation non seulement ne fonctionnait pas mais émettait un bruit infernal. Même après extinction de la ventilation le bruit a persisté toute la nuit, impossible de l'arrêter et de dormir, nuit blanche. Impossible de joindre un responsable de toute la nuit, pas de veilleur de nuit. Pas très rassurant quand on sait que l'entrée n'est pas sécurisée par une serrure ou un digicode. Que se passe-t-il en cas d'incendie, ou de problème médical d'un des résidents? J'ai demandé qu'un responsable me recontacte j'attends toujours. Ça témoigne du sérieux de l'établissement. La chambre est indigne d'un 4 étoiles (huisseries en décomposition, pas de double vitrage, sanitaire et climatisation surannés, literie qui n'est plus au standard actuel,moquette tachée). Je vous engage à le visiter avant de le proposer sur votre site Avis aux amateurs

Magnifique château au fin fond de la Creuse. Personnel très accueillant et sympathique. L'établissement est très bien tenu et propre, seule petite remarque le buffet petit déjeuner un peu juste mais le reste parfait....

Grand Manor House hotel stay with a few issues

The hotel is in a beautiful and grand building in a delightful countryside setting. The rooms and public areas are beautifully furnished and were in good order. The Top floor room we had was very nice with a view of the countryside. The Large bed was comfortable and the open bathroom with a roll-top bath was beautiful. The service was efficient but not the warmest. We were well looked after but staff felt somewhat distant and service at dinner and breakfast could have been warmer and more welcoming. The food itself was tasty yet I wouldn’t characterise the hotel as a gourmet destination. There was nothing wrong with the food but at the same time we were not wowed by it. The breakfast buffet was adequate but quite unimaginative and corporate. The only main complaint was that there was an issues with hot water at the property. We tried to run a bath in the evening but the hot water had ran out. There was also no hot water in the morning. When we mentioned the issue on checkout, an apology was offered but nothing else. I would have expected some sort of a gesture to recognise the inconvenience since one really should be able to have hot water in a hotel of this quality. Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay and the hotel served its purpose. However, we would not be in a hurry to return because of the few issues noted above.

L hôtel rien à dire très arrangeantje n avais pas précisé que je voulais 2 lits séparés pendant le repas le problème était résolu par contre le restaurant de l hôtel zéro nous avons attendu plus d une heure pour être serviet en plus que du surgelé Mon gâteau était encore gelé les coquilles saint Jacques toutes petites purée de choux fleurs c était du céleri en ressortant de table nous avions encore faim
