The resemblance to Faulty Towers. My room wasn’t serviced while I was there. The cost of my room which is the bridal suite was a joke. I could never recommend the Manor to anyone.
Staff were so friendly and helpful
Hotel right by the sea - what more could you ask for

Disappointing Stayed two nights. Room not cleaned second day. Was told it would be but was not Need to finish serving customers if they want hot or cold drink at bar not tell them there busy at minute will make coffee when finished. Breakfast all ways running out of things milk and juices etc Carvery needed to be a bit hotter was just warm. Just not enough staff at anytime. Will not return to this hotel and not recommend it to others. Great area though so could be a great hotel but unfortunately not at this time.

Room was average. The mattrass was very uncomfortable.
This is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. It was dirty and completely unorganised. My room was stupidly hot and after complaining the reception guy said every room was hot as it was an old building. Complete rubbish I spoke to other residents and their rooms were not hot but they has ALOT to complain about as well. The room was that hot that my lipsticks were melting! We asked twice for an extra pillow and it took nearly 2 days to get more toilet paper. The stairs and most carpets are covered in dog hair. I don't think they have seen a hoover for MONTHS! Such a shame as its a great location and has potential. They just need to get their act together and organise themselves properly.
Fabulous location. Compact seaside resort but have all we need.

Amazing location and nice people but run down and dirty. Breakfast ok, would have been nice to be seated in the restaurant overlooking the sea.

Comfortable stay and loo with a view.!
Quick no fuss check in as pre paid.
Comfortable room which was clean and no issues.
Great views of the beach and town (room 24) with loo with a view.
Had a walk into town for evening meal.
Reasonable buffet breakfast.
Friendly staff.
It is what it is with old victorian hotels. Needs further modernisation. For the price it was just what we wanted and we were pleased with the overall one night stay.
The hotel looked tired and was in need of some investment. The young staff were very good but there were too few of them so you had a lengthy wait to be served. I waited 20 mins to receive my restaurant bill in the end I had to go looking for someone. MY superior had a sea view. ( in the distance but we overlooked the main carpark.
We will not be returning as I did not believe it was good value for money.
We arrived an hour early and a member of staff went to check if the room was ready. We were able to check in early. The tv had little signal and there was thick dust everywhere. I mentioned this to the same member of staff and his reply was “I will defend the cleaner as I had checked it and it was clean” not really the response I was expecting!! I asked him then if he thought I was making it up, he then reassured me that the room was clean!! I had to tell him again that the room was NOT clean, at least to my standards and so he sent somebody up. The other member of staff confirmed it was dirty and apologised and gave the room a dust and tried to sort the tv.
I thought the first reaction to my complaint was quite rude and unhelpful. He did not check himself and if he had checked the cleanliness of the room then all I can say is the standards at this hotel are low.
Also the bed was lumpy and as they allow dogs the entrance and stair carpets were covered in white dogs hairs! Other than that, the hotel was ok. Breakfast was also ok. Had to hunt around the restaurant for salt if I’m being picky! Nothing outstanding and I would not stay again.
The hotel room was freezing cold. The radiator was broken and the plug in heater nearly kicked out any heat. The entire room and bathroom was freezing cold the entire time I was there. I would not recommend this hotel.
I was excited to return to the Manor Hotel after a number of happy holidays there, a number of years before. Unfortunately we were very disappointed, one guest arrived for breakfast in her dressing gown which we felt was rude and inappropriate, the manager thought it acceptable.
The hotel is dog friendly so much so that dogs were welcome in all public rooms and bedrooms, and the dogs and their owners took over the only lounge, so there was nowhere for us to sit away from animals Anyone with an allergy to animal fur wouldn't have been able to stay in the hotel. The hotel was also understaffed.

Stayed over the New Year period. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel but due to its age allowances should be made for all things associated with an old building!

Nice location, close to the beach. It served its purpose for us, but feel the hotel needs a little love and updating.
Went for a beach walk of 9 km in the evening and a kid of 5k at 7am
I had a good value twin room ensure.
The meal for 2 people with 3 courses and 4 pints was £55 so excellent value and enjoyable food in the sea view restaurant.
Might be worth paying more for sea views - the view is spectacular

Great Clifftop hotel
I have stayed here many times. Building is a bit tired but location on the cliffs above the sea excellent, breakfast great and beds comfortable. I always have a good nights sleep there.
