The front of house staff were excellent - everything we asked for was provided - 'no problem Sir'. They were let down a bit by their colleagues behind the scenes - we were served the wrong food and there was a long wait for it. We spoke to some locals who visit quite often and they said the food hadn't been so good recently. But we'll be back!!

Loved it. The staff were very accommodating during check out. Visited for a family birthday but stayed the following day for some light bites. Fold was delicious for both occassions, setting was great and staff were attentive. Highly recommend.

Pleasant enough stay. Bed large and quite comfy but pillows terrible. Room was clean but only one chair so could only sit on bed for a drink. Bathroom nicely tilled with large roll top bath with a shower over. If you have any mobility problems or are getting on in years request a walk In shower as very difficult getting in bath. The staff in the bar and restaurant are very helpful and friendly and the evening meal was nice.

The room was a good size and the shower was great.Dressing table chair was badly worn so needs replacing and the window catch was bent and didn't fully close.The garden was pleasant for a lunchtime drink and the beer was very well kept.Didn't eat so can't comment about the food.

Lovely place to stay

Quick and easy check in, the room was lovely and very comfortable. Staff were all helpful and welcoming. Easy access to the night entrance if coming in after 11. All in all a great stay.

Great rooms, great access from restaurant/bar to rooms and friendly staff. Service for breakfast was extremely slow and I’m not sure why as is wasn’t busy, drinks are quite expensive but overall very lovely place - great for dog lovers including myself!!
