We had a booking, but were told the property had an incident and that we’d been moved to a different one. Just as we were about to check in, they said the room couldn’t accommodate 4 guests and they couldn’t provide an extra cot. They advised us to cancel the booking. After traveling for almost 3 hours, we ended up having to book a room at a Holiday Inn instead.

The room was newly refurbished but it was not cleaned properly. I found packets of white powder behind furniture( suspected drugs); there was long dark hair in bed anf on the floor; booked well in advance and requested for roller bed only to be told there we taken offered to another occupant & had to make kids beds on the floor (fortunately we brought extra bedding); sharing the shower cubicle with 2 other families was not ideal; i sneezed the whole weekend from the electric diffusers but it smelled really nice. Check in was the worst experience we have ever had; location was a bit dodgy to be honest; parking was a nightmare; tenants downstairs argued the whole night & kept us awake on the last night.

Do NOT book this property. ​ We booked a stay at Spencer Bridge By AFL for July 25–26, expecting a smooth experience. Instead, we were left stranded with zero advance notice. ​The host cancelled/refused our accommodation on the very day of check-in without giving us prior warning. Offering a refund after leaving guests stranded on the day of arrival does not fix the massive inconvenience, stress, and expense of having to scramble for last-minute accommodation. ​To make matters worse, while we were trying to sort out our situation, we personally witnessed three other families stranded outside facing the exact same issue. This is not a one-off mistake; it is a clear pattern of unethical behavior and systemic double-booking or last-minute cancellations. ​ Properties like this ruin trips and exploit travelers. Spencer Bridge By AFL should be completely removed and banned from listing on Expedia and other booking platforms. Save yourself the headache and book literally anywhere else.
