Review of stay

The hotel was very accommodating to us and our luggage allowing us to check in early. The staff are really friendly and polite. The location is right in the heart of the town. I would highly recommend.

For a small and affordable hotel, La Victoire is excellent for its price. The staff are helpful and kind and the rooms are decent for what you're going to pay. Furthermore, Vence is wonderful to explore for tourists and you can easily get to Nice with just one bus line.

We just needed a hotel for 1 night centrally located close to the old town of Vence. Hotel La Victoire was convenient but not for longer stay as bedroom and bathroom are too small. Had a wonderful stay though and fried ly staff.

Wonderful location

The staff were outstanding and so helpful. Breakfast was good, perfect location but a little noisy on Saturday concert night in the park till midnight. love the town and love the hotel. A really friendly English speaking church just a few doors away, I will be back next year.

Perfect location if you want to be in the middle or everything. Wonderful restaurants and boulangeries literally on the doorsteps of this hotel. Wonderful farmers market on the weekend and also music festivals in the park during the summer. Parking offsite isn’t bad either. There’s a lot within walking distance. The underground parking they suggest is a little scary if you have a bigger car. Not a fancy hotel, but if you want a clean place and to experience Vence, this is the place to stay. Reasonably priced for the location for sure! I would definitely stay here again.

Great value stay in Vence

I enjoyed my one-night stay at Hotel La Victorie very much. You couldn't find a better location from which to experience the charm of Vence and explore the old town. The staff of this family run hotel were very helpful and accommodating. A great value. I will return someday.

Good position just opposite the main square and close to the old town. Good for a budget hotel, if you want a bed for the night then this will do. Breakfast was a bargain but not extensive choice again enough to get going.

I recently stayed at this place and had a mixed experience. Overall, the hotel was okay, but there were a few things worth mentioning. Upon arrival, I had to carry my luggage up a flight of stairs to reach a certain level before I could use a small elevator, which was a bit inconvenient. The staff, however, were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made the stay more pleasant. One downside is that the hotel is somewhat far from the airport, the city, and the beach, so you’ll need to arrange transportation for getting around. The mattress in my room was quite hard and not very comfortable compared to other places I've stayed. The shower was also very small, with shower curtains that tended to stick to you, which was a bit annoying. Despite these minor inconveniences, the warmth and hospitality of the city and its people made up for the less satisfying aspects of the hotel. The friendliness of the staff and the overall atmosphere really helped to overshadow the small discomforts.

Thé hôtel seemed fine at first we dropped off our bags then left for dinner. When we returned we really got to notice an air of cigarettes. There was only a sheet set and no blanket. The two pillows were very thin and well used. The shower head was a wand that wasn’t attached to the wall and there was only a half roll of toilet paper. We heard a baby crying from the room next door so not very soundproof. My wife’s eyes were irritated from the smoke. We didn’t ask for another room we just left.

The facility does not match the description on the website. There is no shower, no hardwood floors, no minibar, and the photos do not reflect the real condition of the hotel. It is very old and the photos were taken years ago. The rooms Are very dirty, stains On the walls, dirty sheets, very thin pillows, bathroom in very bad condition with many parts full Of rust. The TV is the size of a tablet. I have personal photos to upload if requested. I never met anyone at the front desk as it was closed at all times except for 2 hours in the morning to sell breakfast. Upon arrival check in was done at a bar outside the facility. No one was able to speak English besides French, Both in the hotel and AT the bar for THE check in, except for a Brazilian guy. I'm sorry, but this is not hospitality and I think the third star was cancelled in the past YEARS for this very reason. I would call it a hostel. The location great! La struttura non corrisponde alla descrizione del sito web. Non c'è la doccia, non c'è il parquet, non c'è il minibar e le foto non rispecchiano le reali condizioni dell'hotel. È molto vecchio e le foto sono state fatte anni fa. Gli ambienti Sono molto sporchi, macchie Sui muri, lenzuola sporche, cuscini sottilissimi, bagno in condizioni pessime con molte parti arrighinite. Chambre pas très propre (en dessous du lit, miroir etc) La climatisation était vraiment pas terrible (beaucoup de bruit - impossible de dormir). On a demandé à changer de chambre et on a pu avoir une autre chambre un peu mieux. Hotel est très bien situé autrement et les employés étaient très bien.
