Fairmont Nice hotels

"Rude staff on reception desk and unresponsive from management. There was a fire alarm while we stayed there, and we ended up stuck in an outdoor emergency stairwell with a metal gate that wouldn’t open. After much effort and calling out to other patrons and staff, it opened. We approached front desk to advise of safety concern with the gate in an emergency and the front desk rep was argumentative, rude, mocking and unprofessional. Emailed manager and never heard back. I’d never go back! Upsetting stay. Also if you book this hotel, we paid extra in our reservation for breakfast. Don’t bother prepaying as no one seemed to be asked for their room number and everyone ate breakfast when we were there. "

"The staff were very helpful and the room was spacious and clean. My only complaint would’ve been that there were two bags of fruit tea on arrival and no other choice of beverages. I would have preferred coffee but that was never offered. I didn’t want to make a fuss and bought coffee sachets in the local supermarket. Still happy with our stay. Would recommend."

"Great location by the beach and old Nice. Very walkable and across the street from bike rentals. The rooms are recently renovated and very clean. Very happy with our hotel choice. Beautiful views."

"Staff knocked on the door loudly at 10am waking us up and never explained why they knocked when we answered (checkout is at 12pm) then they knocked and opened our door at 11am asking when we were checking out. Disrupted our sleep."

"Rooms are small but expected in a city. Arrived late one evening & check in was good. The bathroom was so small & a tiny shower tray so we changed rooms the next day. Larger shower tray & room seemed more updated. Good breakfast. Did not use any facilities such as rooftop."
