The swimming pool is amazing, well worth the visit but you are only allowed to go to the top pool once a day. The lifts were a bit busy and difficult to get into. Breakfast buffet was disappointing for such a large hotel. One coffee machine meant a long wait for a drink. The fruit juice was very watered down and the choice of fresh fruit was terrible.

The room had a nice view of the beach. A fair price for a nice room. The first room we tried had many roaches all over the floor so we had to move to a different room. The 2nd room had a toilet that was not clean. We almost moved again but it was too late. The Staff gave us a free late checkout as a result and they were very helpful. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

A real Australian review

You can tell by reading the reviews on Google that many of them are not genuine or they are written by “local guides” which are not real traveller reviews. There should have to be some way to prove that you actually stayed at a hotel to allow you to leave a review. I have no idea how this hotel can advertise a 5 star rating. By international standards, this is approx 3 star ratings. However, the price we paid to stay there was about the same as the cost of a powered site at an NRMA Reflections Park, so in many ways, it’s a good price. Rooftop pool and bar: I will reiterate what some other people have explained in their reviews: to get there you need to go down the main elevator from your room to the G floor, then ride a different elevator up to the pool. It is not explained ANYWHERE when you make your accommodation booking that you will be allowed one “free” visit to the rooftop pool per day, per person. Any further visits require you to pay a fee. No nature or plants up there, just an arc pool that doesn’t join up in the middle. Not enough chairs or lounges for guests. The pool is in a poor condition. One of the safety panes was completely smashed out and covered with safety tape. There was broken tiles, rust, scummy walls and mould. Really unappealing. I have so many other things to say but I’ve hit my character limit unfortunately! Scammy breakfast experience, bathroom has no privacy (“honey, turn around and don’t watch me on the loo!”)

Our room was locked on level 37A. It was a strong smell in the room that we couldn’t figure out what it is. We tried to open the window to get some fresh air, but it didn’t help. After 2 days of suffering, we did inform one of the receptionist staff members, his name is Dang, it was a wasted if my time. He promised to provide us some air freshener or move us to another room, and yes, the air freshener never arrived nor we heard or see him again. The worst experience ever. The system of two hotels- Panorama and The Empyrean Nha Trang are very confusing and chaotic. It was not a pleasure stay at all.

Misleading information

Misleading information in the room description. It tells the rooms are suitable for 4 people, but it only has beds for 2. They could offer us one extra bed (still only bed for 3) but would charge us almost 50% of the room price for one bed even we had already been charged for extra guests. Really disappointed at hotels.com which couldn't solve the problem for us. 1000 rooms and 6 elevators and some out of service. A lot of waiting and stuffed elevators. 2 elevators are reserved for the top floor pool/bar area. The pool area on the top is free for hotel guests, but only until 16:00. Then the pool closes and you have to pay to get up. Never experienced anything like it on any other hotels I've stayed. They have good breakfast and friendly staff, but it's not good enough to make us go back again. Will not recommend more than 2 people in one room, if more find another place

Avoid this place at all costs!!

I recently stayed at The Empyrean, a supposedly 5-star hotel in Nha Trang, Vietnam, and let me tell you, it was a complete disaster from start to finish. Firstly, upon returning to our room after housekeeping had been in, we were shocked to find our hotel room door was open and unlocked. Anyone could have walked in and taken our belongings. To make matters worse, we discovered that the safety box in our room was unlocked and left open after room service had supposedly tidied up. Nothing appeared to be missing, but our things was definitely messed around. We felt violated and insecure during the rest of our stay. Besides that, the website failed to mention the nightly club music that blared from the top floor from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Despite countless complaints to the reception, nothing was done to address the problem. The staff in general were beyond terrible. Slow, unhelpful, and perpetually glum - it was as if they didn't want to be there at all. When we reported the door and safety box incidents, we wasted nearly four hours dealing with unresponsive staff who seemed uninterested in our concerns. Another annoyance is the elevator system. To reach the top-floor pool (which you can only do once a day), you have to descend to the first floor, go to the reception and then ascend all the way to the 40th floor. And when you want to return to your room, the absurdity continues. Also the elevator stops at almost every floor, to pick up more people, so it takes forever.

+ Läget, när man kommer ut från hotell entrén så är man i hjärtat av Nha Trang. Många restauranger och shopping precis intill. + Bra gym + Bra utsikt -När vi kom till hotellrummet låg det ett använt plåster i badrummet. - Det absolut sämsta med detta hotel va hissarna. De va alltid proppfulla när man skulle gå på. När vi skulle checka ut tog det oss ungefär 15 min att komma ner till lobbyn, vissa började till och med att gå nerför trapporna istället… - Kaffemaskinerna på frukosten fungerade inte och när dem funkade va det alltid lång kö. Dem skulle behövt minst 4 st kaffemaskiner pga mycket folk som bor på hotellet. - Frukosten va medelmåttig - Dålig belysning i hotellkorridoren på våning 24
