My stay at Church End Cottage was absolutely fabulous I have to say that. A very cozy stay in this garden house place which I found to have very pleasant window views as well as a very clean and tidy interior. Absolutely a place I'd go back any time as well as happy to recommend it to anyone which likes rather rural and remote bed and breakfast stays. Speaking of breakfast, that was amazing, all home made. Just a gem!
The cottage is in a gorgeous countryside setting and is easy to find, with plenty of parking. After a restful night's sleep you can watch sheep roaming while eating a tasty cooked breakfast, prepared by the extremely welcoming and attentive host. The room was beautifully decorated and very well maintained. I would highly recommend this as a relaxing and convenient place to stay.
Absolutely picture perfect. I needed to escape, unwund, and relax in nature. Be careful what you wish for, you may never wish to leave.
The family run location is stunning and they couldn't have been more caring or accepting if they tried. The lcoatio is outside a small village. The nearest restaurant, shops, etc.. is a 10 minute drive.. which made it even better for me. Absolute silence at night.. and the sound of nature in the morning.
Excellent location, lovely cottage away from the main road, in a quiet location. Perfect for overnight stays
The owner are very friendly and accommodating
will definitely come back

Quiet and comfortable
A quiet and tranquil location tucked away behind the church. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was great. Highly recommended
We stopped for 1 night. It was raining heavy for the last hour of journey and using as a bed/stop off on route to Heathrow. I kind of misunderstood where I was going and surprised to realize that this, basically, is a b&b. For a bed for the night, at this price, I would expect a more comfortable bedroom. It was cold. There is obviously a property thermostat that comes on/off but the temp drops fast where the room is so it would slowly get cold then warm up which makes for an unpleasant nights sleep and there’s no supplemental heater. The shower door came off its runners, easy fix but come-on.. The location is wonderful with a lovely church at the drive end and open fields all around that’s of no use to me personally. To get there in the dark and rain was challenging and far from motorway. Internet speed was dismal. The breakfast was fairly good but ultimately standard English cooked breakfast but please ask how the eggs are preferred. For someone looking for just a bed, choose a hotel. If you want to enjoy the area, stopping a couple of nights..it’s a fabulous area. The hosts were lovely people and kindly loaned me an umbrella but mistakenly took with me, I do apologize for this. Lovely place but let down by the scrimping on comfort for the bedroom.
Fantastic stay. Beautiful garden room with en-suite…. Excellent value for money. Stunning scenery and sooo very peaceful. The hosts were fantastic and very friendly. Great stay!
