We got this because we thought there was a view of the beach but there isn’t. The room was clean but we did end up googling a bug that we found on our bed. We were on the 2nd floor and there were spots of the floor that seemed a little too squishy. However, we felt safe and it was a decent enough place to call home for a single night.

Our room was pet friendly and staff were very nice. Our room had a floor that needs to be replaced. The flooring was broken in spots with rough edges where we didn’t feel comfortable walking barefoot. We have stayed before and always had good experiences so maybe it was just this room that needs work.

Perfect place close to the beach, just cross the street and walk thirty steps past a couple apartments and you’re there. So close that if u need to go to the bathroom it’ll take u 2 minutes to walk. The hotel is very clean and equipped w a refrigerator and microwave. They have beach towels and boogey boards you can use for free! The people are super nice! The place does seem a little old but if u want the beautiful newport beach, this is the place!

Room was clean. Parked 2 steps from door--liked that. Had 3 beds which worked well for a small group of friends. Front desk staff nice and prompt. Just across street from the beach!! Who cares if it was built in the 60s!--added to the charm. Liked the price. Had to report noisy people.

I am honestly quite surprised that this place has the reviews it does. It was one of the dirtiest and run down hotels we have ever stayed at. So much so that we finally got out of bed at 3:45am to begin our travels home because we couldn’t sleep. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, and dip down in the center like they are decades old. The sheet set is the super low quality where they are crunchy sounding- make one move and wake everyone up. It is incredibly dirty. Flooring is all falling apart, the fridge door was covered in splash marks, everything looked like it needed a deep cleaning for the first time ever, and hadn’t been taken care of in a very long time. The towels didn’t feel fresh or even clean, we actually ended up using our beach towels. You can hear EVERYTHING. Every footstep she voice, there is nothing sound proofed about it. I am actually very sad we spent so much to stay here.

David is the gold standard of customer service. I’ve been pulling my hair out all day, thinking the Internet’s got issues and I admittedly haven’t made his day easy at all and what a gracious caring dude he is! Anybody who’s been in hotels knows what it feels like when somebody’s trying to just brush you off or make you feel like you’re bothering them and this guy could not be sweeter more understanding and just so helpful so happy that you’re even calling to ask him for help! What a relief to be able to call the desk with some issue in the room and the person not make me feel like I am gonna be thrown on the streets for it whatever raise he’s up for it needs to be doubled. Breath breath of fresh air

Black mold in the bathroom and around the windows, the floor in our room was collapsing in on itself, and it was just overall dilapidated and dirty. The beds were from like the 70s you could feel every spring in the mattress. It was by far the worst place we’ve ever stayed. The old owners would be ashamed of how it’s been kept up.

Nice simple hotel by the ocean. You can’t see the ocean but it’s a close walk. Parking ok, a little tight, we had the family room with 4 beds, which was great. Cleanliness ok, 3 out of 5 stars. Floor was laminate but wear slippers unless you want dirty feet. Bathroom shower was very small. But for the price and it being a basic motel, it was good.
