Pleasant stay at the Mayfield

Nice comfortable stay at the Mayfield appts for a family wedding weekend. Easy to access once having spoken to a member of the Mayfield team for access codes to the building. No WIFI was available for our 4 day stay which was a challenge with 2 children, was offered a refund, I am yet to hear more on this. Good facilities and parking at the Mayfield. 5 min walk to location bars and eateries.

Mayfield Apartments

Clean, pleasant and eco-friendly. We felt that the room was thoughtfully presented. The only problem was gaining access on arrival. I did not receive instructions or the access code prior to travelling. This was quickly resolved with a phone call to the agent.

Lovely stay at the Mayfield

We stayed in room5 top floor 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and a sofa bed for 1. Bedding and towels were new and fresh. Bathrooms were spotless. Small fridge, kettle , toaster and microwave all look new . Coffee /tea complimentary. TV in lounge . We were visiting family so needed somewhere local and pet friendly. We have stayed at a couple of other places where the Mayfield is and can honestly say this one has been the cleanest and most relaxing stay. Love the short walk to shops restaurants and the beach just across the road. It was quiet in the building with a lovely communal sitting room with a working piano ! Would definitely stay again! If you have mobility issues then room 5 is not for you as the are many stairs to climb

Disappointing anniversary stay

We stayed here for 1 night. Overall the room was clean and comfortable. I was extremely disappointed as the room we booked didnt have a beach view which was stated in the description. There was no view at all other than the courtyard wall. We were woken at 7 am by the fire alarm going off continuously. As there is no one on site I had to phone the owner and it was about half an hour before anyone turned up to switch it off. We packed up and went home early. Disappointed to say the least

Hotel location is very convenient, close to lots of good restaurants. No staff members, we we given codes to enter property and room. Felt remote and unwelcoming. Room 1 was ok, a little tight getting into the room. There was a microwave, fridge and kettle, in a cubby in the wall so a little inconvenient to use. Bed was firm but comfortable, pillows not so good. What we didn’t like was that we were in a king bed but the sheets were not the correct size and did not fit the bed. Bathroom was adequate but badly vented so the towels did not dry. Also beware of five star reviews they buy those with a 10 pound gift card.

Booked a Queen bed and had a kingsize. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and there was only 2 pillows. I emailed the customer service department and no response. Only received email on final evening giving instructions for check out with note asking for 5star review if we enjoyed our stay! I would recommend that you respond to customers queries before asking for reviews. Won’t be returning.

Appartement très bien équipé, tout y est (serviettes, nécessaires de toilette, café, thé…) Le chauffe eau de la douche HS, soit l’eau est froide, soit elle est bouillante, a réparer.
