  • This is a great place to visit in the North of England. It’s like stepping back in time to visit a town, farm, colliery village and old hall and getting to experience what it was like to live in those places from about 1910 onwards. There are staff who take on the roles of various locals that really bring this place to life. This picture is from the town where you can explore a bank, shops, pub, dentists and lots of other things as well as ride in traditional vehicles of the time. Such a brilliant experience.

Room was nice. Most staff were lovely. Breakfast was fine, maybe some more buffet options would be nice. The toaster was struggling to toast.

This was the fourth time we had spent the night here for Bonfire night. Unlike the last few times, this was very different. The room was very clean as always however, the heat was unbearable it was like the middle of summer even with the AC on. There were no amenities for the dog, compared to last time when she was made to feel like a guest and not just a tag along. With breakfast, the bread tasted like cheap sweet loaf and the butter was unsalted. The hollandaise had too much vinegar in it, I couldn't eat it. No one came over to see if we were enjoying it and they stayed away until we left which made us feel like they didn't wish to hear any criticism. Overall, it felt like a totally different place. We won't be back to stay. on the positive, on the evening the ladies in the bar were amazing, very engaging with the dog, very willing to help regarding cocktails. couldn't fault them, they were lush.

Great food, excellent staff and comfortable room

The staff were excellent - really helpful and friendly. The food was delicious - we had a few sides & dessert in the evening, then the breakfast next morning - everything was delicious, really well cooked and the service was great. The room was comfortable and clean (and our little one loved the bunk beds for a family room)

Corbridge special area

The bedroom was modern, well styled and comfortable. Cooked breakfast was nice and you could have what you wanted but the buffet was a bit basic and as I have food intolerances was not catered for. The main hotel areas are a bit tired has lots of potential to be excellent but think it needs some cosmetic upgrades. Found internet access difficult in rooms tried to sign in several times without luck. Car park was good and was a popular bar and food place at night. Everything shuts at 10pm so is quiet and great for a nights rest Corbridge is a lovely wee town

Rooms themselves are clean, comfortable, nicely furnished. The bar, restaurant and reception areas are a bit dowdy and not an upgrade. The breakfast buffet was a bit limited and presented haphazardly.

Average.

The shower was blocked. There was no milk for tea and coffee. Couldn't check in till 3pm and were chucked out at 10am. Worst of all the breakfast was cold eggs were overdone. There was no butter or hardly any bread. There was no extra plates and no tea was offered . All in all breakfast was poor.

Not sure what’s going on at this hotel. Stayed in June ‘24 and it was clean (although the carpet in the lounge bar was looking dirty as were stairwells to the rooms) and the breakfast was quality local butchers produce and really, first class. Stayed again early Feb ‘25 and lounge bar carpet is now encrusted with a black sheen of pressed-in dirt (and it’s a cheap office corridor style carpet anyway) and the stairwells to the rooms were absolutely filthy, black and stained..just…dirty and uncared for. Really filthy. Not mud left by walkers, just general grime. Gross. The produce at breakfast was also cheap supermarket stuff, not good at all. We took the suite and there was leftover food in the fridge when we checked in also… The service remains really good though.
