We spent the night here as we had an early flight in the morning. It was great - quiet, very comfortable mattress, just next to the airport and with a pub that serves food then minutes walk up the road.
I use this as a stop over before and after flying at Newcastle Airport. It’s a 7 minute walk to the terminal and it clean and the owners are friendly and very helpful especially regarding early morning departure or late night arrivals. More comfortable than the three other hotels on airport

Great value for money
I needed a one night stay before my flight. Although not an ensuite i had a bathroom along the corridor to myself.
Host was very friendly and informative, helped with all my airport access questions. Excellent value for money, and only an 8 minute flat walk away from the airport. Yes some bits are a bit tired, but for the price paid excellent value for money. Would definitely stay there again when flying from Newcastle Airport.
Idea location for all types of travel and there is a good coffee shop in the garden centre and nice real pub that serves good food all within a 5 minutes walk. The airport is also within 10 minutes walking distance and the is ideal as a stay for early starts. The staff are very friendly and helpful. An enjoyable stay even though it was only one night
This property was perfect for an overnight stay near the Newcastle airport. The hotel is easily reached on foot via a pedestrian trail. The hosts were very friendly. There are no close amenities other than fast pre-packaged breakfast options from convenience marts.
Outstanding, if bijou, place to stay. By no means 5 star, but at this price point you would be daft to expect it. What you get is a very small room with a clean and comfortable bed and a shower with plenty of hot water at excellent pressure! And the owners couldn’t be nicer!
It was a nice taste of real, northern hospitality.
Staff members extremely helpful and the room is spacious enough for single occupancy. Tea and coffee facilities are available and the bathroom is adequate with my preference of a walk in shower. Ponteland is a 20 minute walk where there is extensive bars and restaurants. Newcastle is a short drive away and also is accessible by the metro line from the airport terminal, which is a 5 minutes walk from the property.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Acceptable but has some key pluses
It was very easy to walk to the airport from the property there is more or less a direct path with virtually no road walking and it is probably just less than 10 mins. The path is solid so not muddy but is a little in even in places but okay for wheeled suit cases with a little care. Access fine for able bodied people not sure about access for people with mobility issues so I would check first.
The bed was comfortable room perhaps a little tired but acceptable. I had a single room which didn’t have an on suite but I am aware some rooms do.
A big plus for this property is that it is 25 mins walk ( on roadside path)from Ponteland which has a wide selection of good pubs and restaurants, a free cash machine and a Waitrose so your not relying on airport over inflated prices, you have places to eat with atmosphere this really is a big plus. There was an issue with card machine so I paid cash. No breakfast was available on this visit. Would I stay again? Possibly but I would pay extra for a double room with on suit
Easy walk to the airport. Clean & today & good value for money. I had 1 issue where the door key on my room door was very temperamental and with arriving back at 12.30pm I was slightly concerned at one point that I would have to sleep on the landing. Could not get in touch with the owner (called and left a voicemail) to make them aware of the key issue to try and get some assistance but no answer. Eventually got the door open with jimmying key back and forth for a while (took me appx 5-10 mins) but it seems to have a knack whereby you need to hold the key in a certain position for it to open properly. Just something that the owner could maybe make their customers aware of in future.
