Lots of parking at rear. Owner was very easy to communicate with via text. Cleaners on site who provided iron & ironing board on request. Lovely room and well equipped, clean kitchen. Very responsive owner and an excellent location - couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely stay again.
Really lovley area, check-in was easy and Jay was nice enought to let us drop our bags early so we could explore newastle.
Of note, due to train strikes 2 of our trains were canceled or skipped the Cramlington stops so keep an eye on that if you make any appointments that rely on public transport.

The arrival wasn’t very clear sadly. Also, when we arrived to the room we found that there were no towels, nor was there any coffee for the morning. Very disappointing. The positive of the stay was that it was quiet and their was ample parking around
Property itself inside was clean and tidy - this property is obviously a work in progress and would love and visit again in say 6 months to see how far things have progressed.. rooms themselves are immaculate and definitely underpriced.. do need to look at the entry system for the property as front was not working and the back was erratic.. overall though was very impressed at the facilites on offer and location is superb..
So disappointed with the room and service there was no staff member around, room ad no towel and toilet rolls sheets was dirty

there was no toilet paperand the light in the bathroom. The shower head bracket was broken
There was no toilet paper, only two small towels, slippery shower with broken tiles on the floor which were also sippery, one cup for two people, tv did not work, was no breakfast as the hotel was advertised as b&b and no one to raise these concerns with, bed was also terrible and uncomfortable broken picture hidden under a cabinet rubbish under bed
No working tv, no fire stick, cobwebs everywhere, brown stains all over duvet. No covers, pillow cases ( when fresh bedding was brought, I had to make the bed) but the fresh bedding wasn’t clean either. Complained and apparently getting a refund?
Although it is a B&B no breakfast is offered but there is a kitchen to make your own, bring your own food.
The kitchen was filthy and a door cane off when my wife tried to open a cupboard. Definitely would not eat anything prepared there.

I would not recommend this property as it is not as described. The address provided was inaccurate. When we finally located it we were disappointed to discover it was not what we had booked. We booked it under the impression that it was an apartment unit with a kitchen. This is not true. There is no kitchen. It was a tiny room. There were no towels provided. We could not contact the owners when we tried to get assistance. We could not get a refund. Buyer beware.
Parking at the rear was good. Room clean though part of a bottle top and 2p coin found on the carpet. Linen on beds not ironed and very crushed and rough in texture. Door security entry not easy to work - initially we couldn't see there were numbers that would light up when a button at the top was pressed. Would benefit from having instructions on the door to help with this. Another sign that would be very helpful would be one on the first set of doors at the front of the property to explain this is NOT the entry door. Worst thing was the unventilated and smelly dining room so we took our food to our room. Kitchen while clean, had bins that were full of rubbish and like dining room was smelly. Worryingly there was a hook on a ground floor fire door which would allow it to be fastened shut and not opened - I don't think this would meet with fire regulations. Being autumn, there were a lot of leaves at bottom of steps at rear of the property (also serving as another fire exit?) which were slippery and these had not been cleared away during our 3 night stay. Wash hand basin and floor tiles in bathroom badly cracked in Room 5, and floor generally is sloping.
Dirty. Room not cleaned prior to arrival. No support. Company does not return calls, no one on site to help. Room assigned was not in main house. Moldy, damp, doors hanging off, skirting boards crumbling. Absolutely not fit for lease. Room assigned was most certainly not on the company photos. Toilet used and not clean, bedding used and not cleaned. Awful. Feel absolutely ripped off. They took my money and absolutely no call, no help. No apology.
Not a great experience at all. On arrival we couldn’t access the property. The “instructions” said to use the ring doorbell, no answer. Sent a message, no reply. Eventually got in through a private entrance, only later learning the code was for a smart door handle, not the nearby key box. It was dark, no way to know. We weren’t the only guests stuck outside.
The kitchen, living areas are shared. First time my husband opened a cupboard, the door fell off. I fixed it, but it broke again multiple times. Reviews later showed this has been an ongoing issue. The kitchen cold tap comes off in your hand, the bin was overflowing (manager never replied to texts or emails asking where the outside bin was), and at one point someone even put a toilet bin on the kitchen chopping board. Tea towels provided were wet and filthy, again, no response, so we bought our own.
Noise is a constant problem. The walls are paper thin, floors creak badly, and you’ll need earplugs. The living room itself is cosy, but you hear everything from above. Shower pressure is excellent but the holder is broken. The bathroom light failed two days in, despite multiple messages and calls, no response. A caretaker eventually appeared with a lamp, but obviously unsafe for showering. Maintenance never came.
The place is grubby, marked walls, overflowing outdoor ashtrays, bins left unlined. The only positive, location is handy for shops and travel. Management are completely unresponsive and clearly don’t care. Avoid.
I stayed at Quarrie House once before in the main house and it was great. This time I booked 3 nights for me and my son and was assigned room 11. I checked in late at night and first off couldn’t find the room because it was outside separate to the main house off the back car park. There was no light so I was in the dark trying to access the room. The room was absolutely disgusting. The bathroom door was hanging off the hinges, neither of the two beds had been cleaned. Both had clearly been slept in with hairs and dirt all on the inside. The walls were yellow and damp, the skirting boards were crumbling. Couldn’t have been much worse. The bathroom was gross. The toilet seat covered in hair and debris from being used. The absolute last straw was when my son asked what was on the mirror (on the floor leaning against the wall) and all Incan guess was that it was body fluid. Absolutely disgusting. I tried to call the out of hours number to ask for a room change. No answer. Left message. Texted. No response. I decided to leave and at 10:30pm had to find another place to stay with my son. I emailed the company. No response. They took my money and I can’t reach anyone. The shame of it all is that my first visit in the main house last year was great. All I needed was a room change but there is no one on site and no one answering the out of hours number. I have still had no response. This property shouldn’t be allowed to sell its rooms on Expedia if there is no support or communicatio
