「Perfect place to stay with a dog. The mattress could do with an upgrade but otherwise very comfortable although there was an overwhelming smell of cleaning products in the accommodation. Food is excellent. 」

「Our stay couldn’t have been better! Disblair House was a peaceful pocket of history, Scotland hospitality surrounded in pastoral beauty.. deer, rabbits, birds and pheasant, wildflowers and lovely old hedgerows.」

「Hotel looks tired and run down. There was clearly no heating on throughout the building with rooms having plug in electrical heaters. We had to reject our first room because the window was not sealed properly and a breeze was blowing through the gaps in the frame. Reception did move us rooms quickly to a room with a sealed window. Overall the cost was nice and cheap but even at the rate paid we did feel the building was showing signs of being a little run down.」

「Basic but you get what you pay for」

「Booked a twin and double room. Rooms clean and well appointed with a communal kitchen area for use by guests. Did not use breakfast service as we left in the morning before the hotel staff had arrived. Only small complaint was that the staff were unable to open the connecting door between the 2 rooms which would have made things a lot easier. 」
