The room was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint would be that it was impossible to raise the shades in the morning. I have no idea how the chain works.

Family Visit

Spent the Easter weekend here visiting family. The king deluxe room was perfect for my husband and I as well as entertaining some family as it had a lovely sitting area along with a sunroom furnished with a table and four upholstered chairs . We enjoyed dinner Friday night as well as Easter Brunch on Sunday at their restaurant

I have been staying at the hotel property for many years. I love the renovation. I really enjoyed Felina. I found the staff to be professional and friendly. I particularly enjoyed meeting Stephanie at the bar. She was welcoming and helpful with the new food and drink menu. There was live entertainment which made the experience fun and enjoyable.

Here’s the revised version with a polite, professional closing directed to management: ⸻ Albion Hotel – Summit, NJ ⭐️⭐️ (2 out of 5 stars) Our recent two-night stay at the Albion Hotel was unfortunately below expectations. While both the guest room and bathroom were clean, several aspects of the stay detracted from the overall experience. Upon arrival, we were not informed how to reach the front desk, and since there was no in-room telephone, I had to go down personally to request a bar of soap. The room lacked basic amenities such as note paper and a pen, and although it was tidy, the furnishings were sparse and did not reflect the standard suggested by the property’s presentation. Additionally, while the bathroom was clean, the door showed visible signs of wear — including chipped paint — and did not close properly. In summary, the stay was adequate in cleanliness but underwhelming in comfort, amenities, and attention to detail. With improved communication, better in-room provisions, and some maintenance updates, the Albion could offer a much more satisfactory guest experience. I hope this feedback is helpful and taken in the spirit intended — to assist management in enhancing the comfort and overall experience for future guests.

Disappointing

Super disappointing to see what new owners have done to this classic hotel. We have stayed here before when visiting family in the area, so we didn’t hesitate to book our rooms for this trip. The remodel doesn’t make sense, materials were poorly chosen and poorly installed, and because of more ongoing work, amenities were not available. No pool, no restaurant, no bar. Falling plaster, holes in the floor, and trash left behind the nightstand. . . We will look elsewhere on our next visit.

Better Than You Expect

The Hotel is under construction, which the staff was very willing to let you know what was going on. They had ear plugs if needed(we did not need them). Our room was lovely, quaint and had his and her closets! Bathroom towels were top notch bath sheets. The bathroom was very clean! Plenty of outlets to charge your electronics and a desk! Loved the reading light on the headboard, great for going to the bathroom in the middle of the night! Excellent blinds, heat worked great and so did the bathroom fan! The continental breakfast was spectacular with something for everyone! They also replaced the water bottles in the room everyday! The refrigerator was spotless and worked great(quiet)! Every staff member and construction worker was very friendly! We look forward to when it’s finished and we would definitely stay there again!

Zero Stars. It has delusions of grandeur claims to be 3 star but has NO AMENITIES. Seriously overpriced. Restaurant is Closed. Pool is Closed. No phone in rooms no way to contact the front desk staff who were unhelpful in person. Rooms are dated and basic. Bathroom steams up as there is no window or fan so steam gets into bedroom. They claim that renovations are underway but there is no evidence of that. It is the Only hotel in Summit but it no longer deserves to be called a hotel. It's a bad BnB. The only nice thing I can say is beds are comfortable and staff (other than front desk) were friendly.
