「overall great for the price. its a very lowkey b&b in a charming victorian era guest house. its in a decent area, nice and close to the rail station. the owners were lovely, the room had a skylight, breakfast is an option but i dont think its included depending how you book. my only criticisms is that there was what looked like splotches of mold on the slanted ceiling in the bathroom, though there was no water damage smell. the other thing was soundproofing, last i checked it was advertised as...

「This is a dog and pet friendly hotel. The proprietors couldn't have been kinder and more helpful especially as this was the first time we had taken our 2 dogs to a hotel. Pam even made up biscuit packs for them 2 phone calls received to check which type of room, and we were given a large sea view room for pet comfort! 「The room is on the 2nd floor , it is too small for a family, no table , no teeth brush , no hairdryer and shower gel provided . The stairs are too steep, quite dangerous if you have baby with you. My friend lived on 1 st floor , there is no bathroom inside the room, shared bathroom is outside, they didn’t realize that when they booked the room. 」

「We arrived for a short break for our wedding anniversary. On arrival we were met by Gayle, the proprietor, and shown around. We were given a very warm welcome. This is a lovely boutique hotel that absolutely gives the personal touch. The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed and all the little details you would expect (plus a few unexpected, gorgeous brownies). We will definitely be going back in the future.」

「Great stay」

「Although this is a hotel, its more of a restaurant with rooms now. So it was quite noisy and busy in the evenings, with live music on one evening. However the music/bar closes promptly at a reasonable hour so not a huge problem. The staff are lovely and the restaurant food was fabulous. So much so that we ate far too much...It sits on the cliff top and we were able to hear the waves crashing overnight to lull us too sleep, not our first stay and wont be the last. 」
