De locatie wel goed. Jammer dat we niet wisten dat je na 15.00 uur pas kon inchecken. Kamer was wat klein maar voldeed wel. We hadden geen last van geluid van de snelweg die niet veraf ligt. Het ontbijt was goed. Vriendelijke eigenaar.

A lovely environment created by the hotel

We loved the welcome we received and impressed with the amount of wood used in the decor. The breakfast was quite simply excellent.

Très bon séjour / très bon accueil propriétaire charmant et très gentils !!! Qui nous a gentiment prêté 2 voitures électriques pour aller dîner !!! Un vrai gentleman farmer !!

Erbarmelijk

Bij aankomst kreeg ik een kamer toegewezen met code om de kamer te betreden. De vrouw des huizen bleek ook heel verstrooid. Ik was ook de enige van 4 extra personen die er verbleef. Kamer bleek in orde te zijn tot ik mij op het bed legde en er vrij veel stof vrij kwam. Muren waren ook vuil en er was in lange tijd niets meer vernieuwd. Ben ergens iets gaan eten en daarna naar huis gereden om daar te slapen. Ik raad het dan ook niemand aan om daar te gaan slapen.

Non una grande sperienza, mi aspettavo un po di pi

La struttura del albergo sembra buona e in ristrutturazione, almeno la nostra camera era ancora in fase di ristrutturazione, ma per una notte ci poteva stare. invece la colazione non inclusa ma offerta ad una modica cifra era abbastanza ricca e buona; come detto la stanza che ci capito a noi, era credo in fase di ristrutturazione, e potevano rinfrescarla un po di piu, poiche si sentiva ancora l'odore a legno dentro.

Fantastisch verblijf dicht bij Gent en Brugge

Door toeval hier terecht gekomen, Het is zeer zeker een aanrader. Wel handig als je een navigatie-apparaat hebt want het ligt redelijk in the middle of nowhere. Wij sliepen in één van de kamers rond de binnenplaats. De kamers hebben alle een naam van een kruid "Dille" "Basilicum" enz. Uiterst comfortabele bedden, heerlijke ruime inloopdouche, Veel echt blank hout, lekker veel stopcontacten op handige plekken, een grote mooie flat-screen met een ruim aanbod aan zenders. (deze zou een centimeter of 20 hoger mogen hangen want in bed kijk je vrij snel tegen je eigen knieen aan) Van het ontbijt hebben we jammer genoeg niet kunnen genieten omdat we erg vroeg weg moesten, maar wat we zagen zag er heerlijk en uitgebreid uit. De suggestie om bij restaurant/brasserie Jeffrey's te gaan (avond)eten was niet verkeerd Heerlijk gegeten, klein minpuntje is dat dit een echt luxe restaurant is en je er niet voor een paar tientjes klaar bent.

Modern and fresh

Arrived late, was greeted warmly. Lovely facilities with, what looked like, recently constructed courtyard-edged rooms. simple fresh styling, with the necessary amenities, towels and shampoo. Wish we could had stayed for breakfast, and explored the grounds and area more. De Steenakker was more than we expected! Fantastic!

Loved it!

Newly renovated complete with the basics. Comfy beds and clean a bathroom. We got lucky with the hot Sunday breakfast which was delicious and only EU10 per person. Would be great if there was a hairdryer in the room but for just one night, I have no complaints.

Surpising nice and comfortable

Some recent renovations and a very good feel to the place, we stayed in a private room, it had 2single beds, flatscreen tv, and shower. Outside the room was a kitchen and a toilet and shower(share) as there was another room right next door for these faculties also. The owner was super friendly and our stay was very Pleasant. The price was right and it was very quiet and homely.

Nice hotel between Gent and Brugge. We've spent a night there while we were visiting those cities, and were surprised in a good way : the room was lovely, and the staff very nice. We recommand!
